Diese Dinger waren unvorstellbar schnell die Fahrer natürlich auch 1986 habe ich mir eine Honda gekauft damit bin ich dann ganz fürchterlich gestürzt nach dem Start und musste meiner Frau versprechen dass ich nie wieder fahre ich habe mir dann einen nagelneuen 89er gekauft und die habe ich dann 20 Jahre lang gefahren eine Honda CR 500 r ein Traum und gleichzeitig ein Albtraum schneller geht nicht ich werde diese Zeit niemals vergessen mein absoluter lieblingsfahrer ist David Thorpe natürlich war auch seine Zeit irgendwann gekommen aber er war wirklich der schnellste

We were at the matchums park track that year and it was awesome.

2001 500 class was an all Belgian show. Everts, Smets, and Bervoerts met on the podium consistently and non-Belgians only made a couple of cameo appearances. With those three in the top class, gotta wonder who Belgium had in the 125 and 250 classes.
