These are pretty cool TJolde. I have something that wasn't really designed to be looked at for fun. More for simulation and some scientific feedback which i have had none so far lol. Took me a whole night to generate 5000 frames. How long does it take you to generate these?

Hi. Loving your videos. I find them very calming. Can I ask a question? Why does each one start with the same cross pattern, is there a reason? The reason i ask is that I did wonder how easy it would be to start with a small image made of coloured particles which then falls apart? You might not want to, and thats fine. I'm just curious about the whole thing really.
Good question. The simulation is basically an n-body or particle life simulation (with a few important additions). In these videos, there is a strong gravity well at the center I added that I disengage to allow the particles to separate. Hope that makes sense.

I just so happen to be researching properties of atomic structures and came across this video on my hunt for answers and demonstrations of various entropic phenomena. This stuff is pretty fascination to me and methodical to watch after a while. This video, in particular, has a nice vibe to it, as well, which has been helping me to stay focused. I hope you don't mind if I let this video repeat in the background throughout the day. The visualizations and overall atmosphere is quite motivational.
