2013 Jeep Wrangler: Replacing Brake Components
Today, I'm doing an extensive brake job on this 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. This Jeep was a NASA security vehicle, and has just over 10,000 miles on it! The undercarriage is rusty, including the brakes. I'm replacing caliper mounting brackets, calipers, rotors, pads, and even the emergency brake shoes! All parts were purchased through my local NAPA parts dealer. Feedback is welcome in the comments below.

Bungee Cord Retention: Knife Sheath
Переглядів 1,3 тис.2 місяці тому
In this video, I discuss adding bungee cord for retention of a kydex sheath. There are many ways to terminate the ends of the bungee cord. I used a non insulated butt connector in this case, covered with heat shrink. If you're interested in any of the supplies I used, they are listed below. .. In this episode, I am removing the interior and doing as much of a deep clean possible. Stick around till the end because the difference is shocking! Next time I'll be disassembling the dash to figure out what else is living up in that space! .. Thank you for stopping by! If you w...

This is an introduction to my new project. It is a 1978 Ford F-700 crew cab that was previously an Arizona firetruck! In this episode, I am working on vacuuming out as much mouse poop as possible so that strip the interior. Once that is done, I'll clean and disinfect as much as I can. .. Thank you for stopping by! I want do that but is it dangerous ?
Not at all.
Russian gopnik eh?
new vandalism unlocked
🤣🤣🤣
Clearcoat destroys the rich hues of the rust. Rather use water based bonding liquid.
A satin clear works just fine, and still maintains the results you get.
that stuff works quick gah
Yeah. That finished one at the end was about left out for an hour to get a good result.
Does it have to be neutralized?
Just rinse it off with clean water.
It's probably a good idea. Peracetic acid is much stronger than its ingredients.
Thank you, sir
@@jaredtester8161 you're welcome! Just referenced this again this weekend when I changed my oil, and did my fuel filter too!
Woohoo
This one was a project. Ended up having front and rear diffs rebuilt... twice! 🤣
Hey great video. I noticed the turn knob for release. Where’d you get that? Did you have to mod it?
I have a writeup on my site for it. It's a sillcock key I had to drill out a bit. Works great!
I wonder if you could stretch the bungee cord while heating the tubing!
I let the adhesive cool down on the second one and it seems to have helped. In the future, I'll use the non marine grade stuff since it's only to cover the connector.
Thank you! Great video.
Thank you!
Yes❤❤
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
We use a product called natures miracle urine destroyer. Not sure it works on mouse piss.
Thank you! I have a giant bottle of pine sol concentrate we already had in the house. If it doesn't work, I'll look into that nature's miracle.
Folk foolish to spend big money for a home in an HOA location...liberal aholes...no 1st amendment rights...I live totally free of jerks, porch pirates, visitors,etc... Just all nature
lol HOA doesn’t have shit against the constitution.
Yep
I got to get me one of those magnetic hammers.
They work wonders!
Put it back, put it back lol
Just watch the related video. 🤣
Too many spikes
That's what the HOA said.
Last time i checked an hoa can't regulate how you choose to defend yourself
Eh, but we can laugh as they try.
If ita under 4 inches worth of nails it's legal
Then we will say they're 4in nails.
Lol who said magnetic hammer
It cost a pretty penny for it. 🤣
Is it just me or is this a reversed video of a spiked bat being assembled?
It's just you.
😂😂 it totally is I just watched the video attached and it’s assembled in the exact same spot in the same way, that’s wild bro but Ig you’ll get your view good in you
@@ZeroeSiege🤣🤣🤣 it's all good! Just having fun with shorts. Haha
@@reapermfglmao
Nooooo definitely not
Isnt the whole point for it to be dangerous 😂
Of course. But Karen from the HOA is giving me a hard time, so I had to take it apart.
😂😂😂😂😂now your hoa compliant 😂😂😂😂😂😂 love the ingenuity @@reapermfg
Yep! No fines here @@elijahrotkin5971
Click bait
How so?
Rewind
Didn't know how you could tell.
There is no force at the wheels only between jack and lower beam. Hoping this is a joke on whoever told him that.😂
It is a joke
It's backwards
How could you tell?
Id only be concerned with a torsion force being applied to the wheels if theres too much weight. But given that angle iron doesn't look like it will bend it will probably only be compressive force which is what casters are made for.
@@itsdarkest yeah, not much weight being put on this.
Is this satire?
Of course!
No not at all
@@desdae69 yep
I have a roomba at my workshop, with the casters allow it to clean it better. Thanks for the video !
For sure! If you go to my site, I have project write ups. On this one, there's links to a couple good sets!
Sorry, those ones are linked in the description as well! 🤣
Looks like it works well, tell them to kick rocks
It works just fine. 🤣
Nice.
Thank you!

Seen them a few places.
Better put some yarn around it if your going to travel. Grandma's yarn separator?
Nah. No need to be scared. 🤣
Bros ready for new season walking dead
Yep
road rage manner injector
For sure.
You can see the split. Probably wouldn't last long
Nevermind the rest of the nails holding it together. 🤦🏻
@@reapermfg it WILL split eventually. I’ve done this a few times with smaller nails, just fucking around in the backwoods. Every impact is gonna send vibrations through the nails and spread all those splits, even the ones you don’t see, until eventually the head just kinda shatters. Easy way to prevent that is to wrap something around it before driving nails. Duck tape or gorilla tape work miracles but even strips of denim do a good job if you wrap it tight. Chains big enough to accommodate the nails don’t work AS good but looks even scarier
Apocalypse
Yep
Looks awesome
Thank you!
Wish we were neighbors. I live in an apt and have no access to a workspace that I can learn how to smelt metals in. I want to make a pure copper phone case for my phone lol. There's a company that makes them for iPhones, but nothing else.
Check for maker spaces around you. They'd be a cool place to do stuff like that.
Not much length but plenty of girth
Motion of the ocean as the kids say. 🤣
Neegan would be proud!💀
I think a Lucille twin is on the menu now.
Pretty crooked lol
Sure.
Lucille? Is that you?
No, it's her sister. Didn't have any barbed wire.
Now you got to grind the flatheads on the other side to a point
You must have missed that part of my caption. I just finished up.
Bro made a swatter
Just a little somethin
Lucille
Lucille's sister. I didn't have any barbed wire. 🤣
Hope ya succeed
We'll see. Looking more like I'll just cut it into pieces for the scrap metal yard.
