I've skateboarded my entire life and grew up listening to and attending Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, Dead Kennedeys, etc.. shows. Suicidal is bigger than just a band, though. They're a movement. It was so fucking cool to be around so many other like minded people that night. I'm still riding the high, honestly. It's been a minute, but I spent most of my adult life playing and attending shows. I'm the guitarist, writer, and backup vocalist for A Dank Season. Spent a lot of years touring and was fortunate enough to share the stage with some true legends. Thank you for watching the video. I'm sorry. I didn't realize anyone had commented. This was in Tampa, Florida. It was a multi-million dollar mistake. I woke up at 3am to water leaking from my ceiling. We lived on the 26th floor of a skyscraper named The Element. Luckily, everyone was okay. But the entire building was evacuated in the middle level of the night. There was a lot of us. Residents lying around on the ground sleeping in the main lobby and on the street in front of our building. While the police, the fire department, ambulances, and every news organization swarmed around us trying to evacuate everyone and resolve the problem. It was bad.. Our building put all of us residents up in different Marriott hotels for a few weeks. While they hired hundreds of companies to come and fix the problems. Unfortunately, some of the residents we're unable to come back because there was too much damage to their apartments. I scaled the 26 flights of stairs only to realize that I would need to walk back up again to retrieve my cats. Not to mention the way down again. I came back 2 days later to fetch medications and other essentials. That was up and down again. I could barely walk for a week! That's an insane amount of stairs, lol. It's a great question. Why the values are what they are. Why couldn't they be different? The speed of light (speed of causality) is one of the fundamental laws of nature. One of the hand full of constants from which the rest of all the natural phenomenon we observe emerge. This question is actually where the idea of the multiverse comes from. Scientist ask if the values of these fundamental constants could have been different. Perhaps there are an infinite number of other universe's where the values of these fundamental constants are slightly tweaked. Creating much different natural phenomenon than the physics we know and love here. It's likely that the values where random. But there are theologians out there that argue that these values are so precise as to allow life to evolve; that it's evidence of a finely tuned universe. The scientific response to this is the Anthropic Principle. Which states; if there are a larger number of universe's that have values that do not allow for life, and a smaller number that do; It wouldn't be surprising that we find ourselves in one of the universe's that allows for life. It would be much more surprising to find ourselves in a universe that doesn't allow for the evolution of life. The speed of light is a constant. It's built into the fabric of nature. @@JesseSwaney I can accept that if speed has an upper limit, it may as well be the one it is. What I don't understand is why causality has a limit at all. Even if light could travel instantly, that doesn't mean by itself any "cause" would happen after any "effect." So why does causality need a limit?

@The Superfluous One I think you said it best earlier; if there where no order to causality, everything would happen at once. There would be no time. It's Science's job to ask and answer the how questions. It is the job of the Philosopher to ask and answer the why questions. Who knows why really? The best we scientist can do is to study the facts and build theories that answer how things happen(ed.) And through the process of the scientific method, we've discovered that the universe does indeed have a universal speed limit. Like I said earlier, there are a hand full of constants from which the rest of physics emerge: the caesium hyperfine frequency Δν Cs the speed of light in vacuum c. the Planck constant h. the elementary charge e. the Boltzmann constant k. the Avogadro constant NA, and. the luminous efficacy of a defined visible radiation K. cd These are the fundamental constants. Why are they those specific values? No one knows. But like I said earlier as well; there is no obvious reason why they couldn't be different values. Perhaps these values are decided the moment a universe pops into existence. Perhaps the other universe's in the larger multiverse, have different values. With these different values, there would be vastly different physics in the other universe's. Of course, we're no longer relying on imperical science when we discuss the multiverse. I suppose that's why your question exists. The multiverse theory is getting a bit closer to Philosophy than actual science.

Illegal, unethical and messed up that it's Christmas time. A lot of parents who don't have a lot of money will end up paying twice as much for a PS5 because of these idiots. It will quite literally takes gifts away from some people as well. Yeah, we're in Tampa, FL. Kinda surprised they'd do it in the open here too. We're a pretty big city with a lot of crime. I don't think they're from here though. Looks like they rented the Uhaul and they're probably driving all through the state, buying everyone out. It's sad man. They're ruining Christmas for a lot of people.
