Mandala Dot-Art: The calm amid the chaos of our day-to-day.
I'm busy like most of us. I get the grind (Wife, mom, worker bee, homeschooler, homesteader, etc.) and why we all need to find time to take a breather. That's where dot art comes in.
Making mistakes is okay (we're human, after all!), and this is a space to embrace the journey, not just the destination. As I learn and grow I'll keep sharing my progress, and discoveries to help you take your art to the next level.
I'll be uploading a mix of videos covering full walkthroughs, step-by-step tutorials, beginner guides, soothing ASMR/art therapy sessions, tool and technique videos, and simple creation videos with and without commentary.
I create my pieces with water-based acrylics on various surfaces like glass, acrylic, canvas, cement, wood, and metal - to name a few. I enjoy turning everyday things, and dollar store finds into something unique and useful.

Beautiful thank you so much. Love it❤😊❤😊❤😊
Thanks so much.
Nice! Hugs. Semper Fi
I really like this one. It's pretty. It's, to me, got a vintage look to it that I like a lot. Nice job.
Thank you! I personally liked this one a lot, but it wasn't a hit, which I am a little sad about, although I think a lot of people take their home decor or that of the receivers into account when buying/painting these and maybe brown isn't as popular as I pictured.
@@SilvenmystDesigns Yes, it could be, but I think I'm as surprised as you might have been that it wasn't a hit. It's so pretty that if I could, I would consider decorating a room around it. Serious! Anyway, I really like your videos and just subscribed, FyI. Thank you!
Very much appreciated 🤎🩷
Such a beautiful design and I love the fall colors🧡💚💛. Also love your long videos as it’s so relaxing to watch❤❤
Glad you like it. I liked the pattern but wasn't thrilled with the outcome of the colors. Haha. It goes to show not everyone has such different tastes.
@@SilvenmystDesigns I think it’s so fun to see how different the outcome when using the same pattern with totally different colors.😁
@darlenemikkola5239 oh 100%
Nice gift idea! What do you seal them with?
These are not sealed. I used a special glass medium added to the paint to ensure it adheres.
@SilvenmystDesigns thank you! I’ve never added glass medium to Decoart Americana as I thought it would make it too thin. I’ll give it a try!
@gaylesahlin6167 Oh its great. It will not thin it at all. I have used anywhere from one drop to the max 90/10 ratio and always have great results.
@ thanks for the tip!! Can’t wait to try it.
Absolutely lovely.
Thanks so much!!
Nice teacher gifts, along with a gift card!
Agreed! Great idea!
How beautiful! keep sharing!!
Thank you, I will
Thanks for the video, great details. I have my tea light ready for gridlines , just gotta jump in and get rolling. I also like the sheen of the silver paint you used. My silver paint is darker, closer to a nickel color.
This tealight (the two I made) sold first, people were drawn to these. The silver really did make it pop! If you dont have silver try pearl.
@ I have Silver and some pearl mixer. I will give it a whirl.
😍
Good job Krystal 🎉 Proud of you for persevering!! ♥️
Very interesting video found it enjoyable and knowledge filled. For example if you might have another customer that forgets their bag you can always write on paper of their purschase on bag and what they look like and then leave your business name with organizers in case they customers call the organization to see if customers purschase and business still has their purschase and they the customers left their purschase behind..they might find away to get it delivered back to them, tea lights are really pretty and im surprised they didnt sell. Homedepo sells magnets strips you can cut them to size the strip is pretty strong i use mine for back of half pans to adhere to a altoids tin, theres different strength strips.
Good ideas! I need to look for magnets will have to check that out. I definitely want something pretty slim with them already being round. Thank you!!
For this being your 1st show, u did an amazing job researching and getting as prepared as possible. I am thrilled you had a successful first show❤️. I have heard that $20 and less items are what sells most at craft shows. I also heard the closer the shows r to Christmas, the better the sales because people are into buying gifts. I’ve never done a show. As for your long videos of the tea lights….i loved them. I actually prefer longer videos because many times I’m watching them at the end of the evening and they relax me. So u definitely can’t please everyone, but just want u to know I was one that u did. Im always very grateful to have to post any content❤️
Aww thank you! Much appreciated. Yeah, I feel like I’m very selectively OCD, and hate the panic of going into the unknown blind.
Valuable info. Thanks for sharing
Most welcome!!
Sooo pretty!!
Glad you like it!
Gorgeous.
Thank you!
I am really taken with the Cherry Merlot colour. This candle holder is gorgeous with the colour palette.
That's my favorite color too! 💖 I keep finding excuses to use it!
I’m excited for ur show! I love these tea lights! I can see this one being part of a pretty Christmas centerpiece❤️
It is approaching fast! Haha. I am hopeful these sell and I don't need to bring any back home. :p
These mugs turned out wonderful Did you heat cure these?
Yes, in addition to adding in the glass medium, they were heat cured! So these are even considered top rack dishwasher safe.
@@SilvenmystDesigns Figured you probably did but just wanted to confirm. Thanks 2 more questions....Are you using roughly a 50/50 mix? Do you the liquiglass in enamel and/or multi-surface paints as well or leave it out of those since they already have those glass/ceramic (curing) properties?
❤ this one.
Special customised glass cases are so expensive to buy, so this is a brilliant idea. I really like it.
They really are, and you get super creative on your own!
Beautiful!!
Thank you!
Your videos are great they are just a bit long. You could probably shorten it some as we don't have to see the same technique all the way around. Maybe just two of that dot or swoop on that row or show the video rolling in a little faster speed. IDK, I do watch them, but they take up so much time.
Hey Tina, thanks for the feedback! Honestly appreciated. These tealights and the recent creations are definitely the exception, so don't be discouraged. If you like the videos (especially for inspiration or entertainment) be sure to check out the older stuff and some more upcoming. I absolutely make videos exactly as you suggest and I’m glad those types are enjoyed! 🩷 I will be getting back to both those shorter edits and true step-by-tutorials. Thanks again. You stopping by to watch and comment is helpful! 🌺🥰
Please take my comment in the nicest of ways, cuz it’s truly how I want this to come across. You gave fantastic advice for shortening a video, and some artists do an awesome job of balancing it out with your tips. I am always grateful for the artists taking time to make these videos and feel they should present them in whatever fashion works for them, but like you, my personal preference on the speed can vary from how the artist did it. Sometimes they are so short that it almost feels disappointing cuz I want to have more time watching the design develop other times they are so long that I can’t always watch it when I want because I don’t have that much time to spare. But I found at least if it’s too long, I can speed up the playback if I need to and it works for me….on the other side I can slow down the fast ones too. It may not be ideal, but I think we all have different preferences so it’s nice we have options to adjust to our wants. There are many times I’m really wound up from a hectic day, and videos like this one totally slow my mind and get me to the point where my mind has shut down and my eyes are ready to follow😁. The other times a really appreciate these long tutorials is when I am trying to create the design with the video, the repetitiveness gives me plenty of options to compare how I need to do each step while seeing it in action. It saves having to continually having to pause the video. I guess my point is (and I’m sorry I made this probably much wordier than needed lol) there are such a variety of reasons a viewer watches these videos that it makes it difficult for the artist to please everyone, but it’s nice to have playback options to assist in our needs.
@darlenemikkola5239 Brilliant explanation, and thank you! 🩷 Could not say it better myself. Totally agree. Some watch for pure entertainment, some for inspiration, and others to paint to. I try to mix it up for a lot of reasons.
Very cute❤️❤️❤️
Thank you and I really appreciate knowing the tool size.
Most welcome! I will have a few more coming mixed in with the others without commentary.
Very, very pretty!
Thank you! 🌺
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
I love monochrome/gradient color palettes. As always, Thanks for your time to create these videos and sharing with us
Me too, and thank you for watching!
They turned out cute. Love the fall colors!
Think I'm going to try them again. Just not with a mandala. I think we'll try a free form. Same colors. Debating if I should paint the fox. 🤔
Beautiful. Thank you for this video and sharing your work and your Beautiful pattern
Most welcome! Good to hear you enjoy it. 🌺
Lovin' all the tealight holders. Each one beautiful in its own unique and separate way
Oh I am happy to hear it. I worry that too many will annoy people.
@@SilvenmystDesignsOf course I can only speak for myself, but I personally enjoy them
Beautiful!! Just amazing how perfect the dots are. Great color combination. Thank you so much for sharing.
@@claudiamann7111 Thank you for saying that. 🌺 This is one of my favorite pieces.
Just came across your channel and love it. Thank you for the this video. I got this in a set with other tools that I had gotten off of Temu and didn't know what to do with it. Now i do, thank you again.
@@Mary-gb8li Oh that’s awesome then! Glad it didn’t get tossed. Haha, because I’ve done stupid stuff like that before.
@@SilvenmystDesigns Me too! I've thrown something away not knowing what it was or didn't think I needed and then had to reorder it again. LOL.
Exactly!! Now we just hoard stuff. 😂 😉
That's really pretty!
I appreciate it, thank you! 🌺
So darn adorable❤❤❤❤
Aww, thanks.
Nice
Much appreciated.
Lovely
Thank you! 🌺
These r absolutely adorable ❤❤❤❤. I hope u make more cuz they’re so fun! I saw someone painting something small and to make it easier to hold, they hot glued their piece to a rod or a the bottom of a small cup to give them something to hold on to. See u again soon, I hope❤❤❤
Oh that's a good idea, will have go play around with that, see what I can find.
Why wouldn't you explain what size pens u r using?
Hi Debbie! Thanks for asking. This was a video I did quite a long time ago. One of my very first, so not only was I naive to the viewers wanting or needing this information, but I didn't actually have that information. The nail art tools I use in this video came in a set without instructions. They are not labeled with sizes. Additionally, if you attempt to google this stuff you will find that each manufacturer makes sets in slightly different sizes and colors and there is very little chance to find accurate information on the random sets sold on Amazon. (which is where mine came from back then). Since this video I have expanded my own knowledge, I use different tools, and if you check out the rest of my channel I do a large majority of videos with commentary and include tool sizes! 🩷 Because you ask you might find the first video in my Beginner Series helpful, regarding tool sizing. I will post a link for you below. Happy dotting!

Thank you ❤
Most welcome.
I think people would buy them
That's awesome. Will have to give an update after the craft fair! I’ll bring them along!
They are cute!
Thanks!
Rewatching 😊
Thank you again. My biggest struggle is knowing which size tool to use. For most of this project I could see the tool size. Thank you 🎉
Oh good! These particular videos I didn't go into sizes simply because I have a ton to do so they are mostly just music. I do have others I have done in the past as well as more coming that do have more instruction. :) 😄
Thank you! That was beautiful.
Thank you, and thanks for stopping by, very appreciated! 🌺
Every time you post about these mugs I’m so sad cause I checked all my stores and even went online to dollar tree, Etsy, etc and these mugs were not available. 😢
Aww! I’m sorry you can’t find them. 😢 I got lucky. I seen these last year somewhere on UA-cam and had been looking for them since. They were out before the fall stuff but can’t imagine they consider them summer.
I really enjoyed this video, the colors you chose are so pretty, the music is nice added touch that seems to flow with the art creations. Thank you for showing us your process.🎨🖋🇨🇦🇺🇲💙
I'm glad to hear you say you like the colors. I really wasn't thrilled with them, but they have truly grown on me! Most welcome, and thank you for dropping by! Very much appreciated.
