How are you doing?
Eric, thanks for the update! Hang tight👍
To everyone reading this please turn to Jesus He loves you and wants to save you, He is the God of miracles, The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, I seen God do amazing things in my life and in the lifes of people I know, He can do the same for you, In your darkness hour call on Him, God saved someone I love from an illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, Its as simple as asking Jesus into your heart to be your personal Lord and Saviour, Jesus will answer you, I know this because it happened to me when I called out to God
I was going through a sarcoma diagnosis at the exact same time. Found a lump on my sternum near my collarbones on 8/16/2019. X-rays on 8/20/2019. The next day my dr called me and told me they “don’t know what they’re dealing with right now” and instructed me to head to the ER so I could have an immediate ct scan because he wanted me to have right away. More xrays and a ct scan and a rude PA walks into my room and says, “I need you to brace yourself because this isn’t good... you definitely have a malignancy in your bone but we don’t know kind or what grade.” I proceeded to have an complete and utter breakdown. They had to sedate me. A couple hours later I had a ct guided biopsy. It almost two weeks for the Mayo a clinic to get a definitive diagnosis. Which is chondrosarcoma. The initial diagnosis and the waiting for your biopsy results will put you in the grave faster than anything. That waiting and the fact that you know you have cancer but you don’t know what kind or how bad it is... it’s a whole new Hell that I never want to be in again. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I sincerely wish you all the best and will continue to check in to see how you’re doing. Let’s kick some cancer ass.
Handsome man.
I stock around. Excellent info. Well done. Thank goodness for the 2nd opinion. Stay positive!
Great you got that 2nd opinion, the first suggested approach was totally wrong! I am a strong believer that we have to take full ownership of our health and research it too, and push push push the doctors to get the best out of them. You have done that. I listened to the whole of your video and I hope you get through this terrible situation. I had heard of this type of cancer before but only by name. Good news it seems to be local and not spread. I wish you good luck and will keep a watch out for your recovery. I thought it was awful the long wait you had, that would drive me crazy with worry too, its seems so cruel. I am in the UK, so I suppose you will have to have insurance to cover your costs, we are lucky we have the NHS. My brother was unfortunate and did not survive his cancer, but he made some bad errors in not getting preventative surgery sooner, and decided to wait until after a holiday he had booked, so lost a few months time because of that. They did not know it was cancer though, it was only after the operation they discovered it was. We have to look after ourselves, nobody else will do it for us.
Thank God you got to the right people and didn't get cut unnecessarily
On the same path as you right now, started chemo Nov 8th. I keep saying to myself that the chemo is hurting the cancer more than me. It’s tough and exhausting but it’s doable. I got hiccups from 2am till 7am for three nights on my first round, they ended up giving me some sleeping tablets for the second round and that has really helped (Zopiclone 7mg), just a few hiccups on drinking fluids but the sleep helped. I was told hiccups are from the steroids rather than chemo. Today, I am on day 8 of round 2 and just coming out of the sickness. Once that sickness has gone you just seem to forget it ever happened. Listen to your Oncologist, take your anti-sickness meds and wait it out, all you can do. Good luck to you and if it’s anything my second round has seemed easier.
Get well ❤
