NY side has more rocks at bottom, deer would of had a chance on Canadian side. Deers can swim better than humans and for long distances also.

I wonder if anyone keeps track of the dangers of certain areas. I used to live in the desert in Arizona. My mom had to tell me, because it is different from where I am from (Oregon). There’s lots of dangerous things I’d never heard of. If you go for a drive in the desert you can get lost easily with unpaved roads. The sand is very dry. If you stop your wheels might be hard to get going again bc they sink into dry dirt. If you punch the gas, you sink in MORE. Then it’s very hot so you are at risk for dehydration and heat stroke. What else. Your cell phone might not get good reception bc there’s big uninhabited desert areas. It rains sometimes out of nowhere and water doesn’t sink into dry dirt, so you’re at risk for floods that can sweep you or your car away or cause your car to hydroplane. There’s uninhabited- obviously- abandoned mines that people try to explore if they’re not blocked off and they collapse on people. You can buy land very cheaply so sometimes people who just don’t fit into normal society move out there, the land isn’t connected to water sewer or electric. So if they’re not crazy when they move there, a debatable point, eventually they are undeniably bonkers. For sixty grand though you can buy a nice new house that is connected to everything so people take all they have and buy a house but they can’t support themselves necessarily bc jobs are scarce and highly competitive. Anyway that’s the desert.
