This video is full of poor ideas. You're inventing problems that don't exist. SharePoint is excellent at managing documents and implementing a solid information architecture... if the admin knows what they're doing. 1. SharePoint document management power comes from the use of metadata columns and views. Satisfy every stakeholder and have exceptional Information Architecture, by simply avoiding the use of folders, or by ignoring their existence. Then the very best UX sites such as the sidebar filtering used on Amazon or McMaster-Carr can be replicated with out-of-the-box SharePoint features like dynamic filters or saved views. 2. You should never allow duplicate files. Old obsolete versions can be hidden by enabling SharePoint's major and minor versioning. Allow 1-and-only-1 file of a particular document ID, and it prevents all confusion around the issue of single source of truth. 3. Turn on SharePoint document ID service in the Site Collection Features, then each item is uniquely identifiable and traceable. 4. Don't need to manage databases like training in a spreadsheet. SharePoint Lists are capable of these things. 5. In place record keeping can be enabled, and retention policy can be enabled, so that records are undeletable in SharePoint.

Was the "4 year plan" at the previous Fortune 100 company due to limitations of the eQMS or was it due to the size of the company and getting everyone to adopt the changes? I have worked for small, medium, and large organizations. Change is always faster as small organizations - I have implemented new processes in a matter of weeks. At mid-size organizations it can take 5-10 times longer as you may have other dynamics to consider. At very large organizations (I oversaw eQMS rollouts to as many as 10 sites) it takes even longer as each site has to be assessed for readiness, trained (train the trainer (super users), then train users), and rolled out with oversight by the change team to ensure things go smoothly. To simply state that Qualio is 10 times faster to implement without more context seems misleading.

Examples of what those differences are would be helpful. Just stating that it's simpler to use is not helpful. Is Qualio easier for admins, document control personnel, basic users? I prefer a complex system on the admin/doc control side, but easy to use for the basic users so that things can move faster. Some deeper context into the differences would be helpful.
