Yes I agree, there are quite strong emotions and feelings there in the series... 🥰 I read some resources about how the Saint Seiya anime became popular in France (and then the manga came and stuff...), but never knew that it was banned! Why was that? And by the way, do you have a or some favourite characters, or episodes?😃

It was banned because it was so popular (number 1 in 1988) and violent. Then came a strong reaction from newspapers, intellectuals, politics, parents afraid of "japanese cartoons destroying our kids" A newspaper had a title "Should we burn Dorothée ?" (article from VSD) Dorothée = the name of the actress and producer of the main children program. Telerama called anime "japoniaiserie" = "japan-stupidity" Books came out calling out shows like Saint Seiya... Quota were applied to children shows on tv channels. Saint Seiya was popular but you couldn't see it anymore or had to buy tapes or DVD later;. WHen the manga was published we rushed to buy it. i fought for Miyazaki's recognition and was in the theatre for the first Princess Mononoke. I even learned japanese and became a french manga translater for a decade. Now the tone is very different in newspapers and critics. We won the cultural battle. Maybe it's like rocknroll for my generation ? My favorite character ? Shaina, Shun, and many antagonist like Shaka, Mime, Siegfried... I love so many characters in this show. I love the episodes of Mime in the Asgard Saga.

Hey, sorry for the delay in replying you! Oh, Kiki's scene! 😁😃 The scene is from Episode 16 "Overwhelming! Docrates' Vicious Assault". It was when Docrates arrived at the Kido mansion. Shun, Hyoga and Shiryu were facing him while Kiki went looking for Seiya, who already left his apartment to visit Miho and the kids at the orphanage.

Hi, thank you very much for the information! 😃 I searched up for Jonas Mello, and yes, his voice was so deep and beautiful. I know he's greatly missed by Brazilian fans and other fans. ❤️ In the English dubbed Classic Anime by Sentai-Netflix, there were actually two different voices for episode name and narration. One was actually a low deep voice for the narrative part, which was done by Marty Fleck. The episode name was, yes, done in Seiya's voice, by Bryson Baugus. I love both of their voices! ❤️😍

I love your videos because they're very helpful for North American Saint Seiya fans like me who don't have many resources unlike somewhere like Europe or South America where it's more popular. It's just nice to see there's people who care about this amazing series as much as I do. And I suppose the reason why they stopped listening titles is because the classic series is so long with so many episodes and said titles tend to be very long, it just was a little frustrating how I sometimes couldn't tell where the episode I wanted was.

@@saintseiyainfo I usually had to resort to piracy to watch this amazing show and not only did it put my devices in danger with viruses but I also felt very bad about doing something illegal even if it's not much of a serious crime. Really nice to know there's an easier way to access this stuff, although I wish Netflix would've kept the OG series and Lost Canvas up because it really helped a lot of people (including myself) in North America find Saint Seiya and I wish more people knew about it. But I'll work with what I can get. Speaking of Saint Seiya in America have you heard of the series "Guardians of the Cosmos"? It was a pilot for an American Saint Seiya cartoon that was thought to be lost until recently.
