Hi! Are you planning to finish a degree there or just an exchange semester? Based on my experience with exchange semester(s), you are not required to know any Korean, but I would recommend it as it will make your life easier. I learned Korean myself years before my exchange semester there and it's very helpful since I can get around without a translator (or app), and even helped my friends sometimes. And from what I know, if you want to be admitted to a degree program, you probably need a certain level of Korean, but I am not sure about it since what I did was an exchange semester. Hope it helps :)

Depends, in my case, for exchange students, it is not mandatory to learn Korean but you can choose to take a language course during you stay

Does it mean that they don’t sell the tickets to any foreign exchange student?

Hi! I'm not sure about previous years but this year, fall semester to be exact, the answer is yes, they don't let us exchange students for getting tickets to go, even for graduate students who actually go to Yonsei. The only way exchange students could get a ticket this year was by buying off from the actual undergrad students but the ticket price was insanely high (the original tix was 15,000won I believe? and the reselling price went up to 150,000-200,000won or even higher) Hope this helps!
