Day 22: Leaps of Faith If you're afraid to take a leap of faith into the civilian world or to start that business or repair strained relationships, it's okay, do it anyway. Do it scared. This develops your courage and character. Life's too short to not live with passion and purpose! #armyrangers #airborne #purposeandpassion

    how many years did u do? I'm in my 30s and debating joining and not sure which branch or full time/guard. Was it something you would recommend to others or tell them not to join?

    • @arlinlanders
      @arlinlanders 4 місяці тому

      I did 4.5 years active and then worked for the regiment as a contractor for 4 more years. I would never tell someone not to join. It changed my life for the better and I owe all that I have to the Army. You'll come out a better version of you but these videos are to bring awareness to the struggles that we face when we exit. It's real, it's a struggle, but over all, it's worth it.

      @@hannibalthe1st565 I definitely understand that! That's why I joined the Army. My dad was a career air force guy and was shocked that I chose the Army. They had more to offer along the lines of what I wanted, a sweet sign on bonus, and lots of adrenaline. haha. Let me know if you need any help deciding on jobs or have specific questions about the Army. Either branch, I can get answers for you.

    Thanks for the tip on taking the 'shine' off of the drive belt surfaces! Seems they are made of aluminum, albeit I'm just in the process for doing them now, and wondered if you used emory cloth...if it may be too harsh? I have about 1800+ miles on my quad, and the old belt still looks like new, but I was getting a 'squeal' sound at lower speeds, so I'm hoping the new belt rectifies that. Thought I'd mention...on my 650 XT Max, that I had to take the side step off to get the cover off...so hope that helps someone else with a similar machine.

    i used a tire rasp from my tire kit in the past to push it back in the past, much more difficult to do. you have to hold it or push it back while putting the belt on..nice video.....i would rate it for you but dont see where to do that......g

  • @gavin91112

    heads up its better once you put the belt on that you turn the secondary in the forward direction, it will tighten up the belt and then start up the quad.

    It's also good to while the old belt is off to clean the drive surfaces with a stoch brite pad of fine emory cloth. clean straight in and out not around the surface. it will help the new belt grip and last longer. also makes it run quiter and not squeal....

  • @arlinlanders
    @arlinlanders 14 років тому

    @bushwackersftw Yes it is mandatory. Without it your secondary will not separate allowing the new belt to fit in place. You'll tear up your new belt without using the bolt.
