The Greatest 7K Maps of All Time (According to the Pros)
All osu! 7K players in either below global rank #400 + account created before 2022 or a couple other notable players i happened to find were invited to select the 5 greatest 7k maps in their opinion, osu/o2jam/bms/quaver all allowed. Somewhere between 150-300 players ended up submitting their votes. These are all of the maps that ended up on 2 or more votes!
There were about a billion 1 vote maps so no way that is going in the video nor did I end up keeping track of them, a couple people were curious to see that but idk its too much effort.
Some players may feel disappointed in the underrepresentation of o2jam/bms, if it helps there were quite a lot of them that got 1 vote, but essentially people just have no agreement on which ones are the great works, so barely anything ended up having mutual votes.
Also, a slightly smaller sample size version of this was also held in 2021 where the winner was Rebirth the end [Evening] with 9 votes.

nice content but it makes me wonder that people who voted those maps can they even clear those maps
It says in the description only top players were allowed to vote. It also kind of explains why almost all of these are really hard.
@@huukkeli22imo to play those maps properly you need to be at least in top 50 .. i'm rice ln zenith but find myself struggling to play most of those maps too
@@rubyruby9397 out of votes represented in the video, around 10 votes or so are on maps the voter would not hp clear 1x. there are many things to consider here, such as being able to experience the song and pattern anyway with HT or rate, and also generally being able to make our judgments from seeing the pattern or legacy alone, but either way its still only 10 votes, vast majority of people voted within their range. so imagine this, for some of these maps you mention top 50, lets say 30 out of the top 50 submit their vote, thats still 150 vote points that would be expected to partly go to master difficulty
@@rubyruby9397 one outlier in this was Decoy, which had 3/4 of its votes from veteran mappers, who value its influence it had for mapping, it was partly inspired by Penguin by Cuppp funnily enough, which came a couple years earlier, but ran with those ideas so far that it developed a whole style many literally call "decoy note", legend map for what it led to in mapping with perhaps 3 digit amount of maps using it as a sketch, regardless of if you can play it
