I originally booked regular king room with strip view with my MGM rewards offer. Completely Free of course. But we got a Free upgrade at the check in to Sky Suites at Aria, typically $2000 per night penthouse suite. It includes access to their lounge and pool. Beautiful room with crazy amenities. Hiking at Zion national park, Utah. Emerald pools hike. Turned out to be a longer than expected cause we hiked all the way to another bus stop. Good 5 miles. Easy hike. Crowded for early May. Avoid vacation season hiking there if you are looking for peace and quiet. Majestic views all around but too many people to our liking. And we heard people say it was surprisingly quiet that day. #lasvegas...

@@alyonapetrova694 I sent a separate email to an address I found on their website. I didn't receive a survey after my stays. I am on gold level and that is only because I play poker, not from slots/table games.

@@alyonapetrova694 I never do mobile check in. I don't know if one would get these upgrades if one did. Yes you are allowed to take the drinks and even food with you. They will let you know if not but that is yet to happen. I always take a bag with me to the VIP lounge so I can take some drinks to the go..and snacks. At Mandalay Bay they actually have a sign that says 1 drink per person but no sign saying the same about snacks...they got chips/pretzels/cookies and other stuff I enjoy and I always take a handful of everything and just walk out. No problem. Then again at Bellagio I was once told not to take so many MGM waters...I took 2 and they are small ones. It doesn't hurt to try, sometimes I ask if it's okay or not.
@@Vegas4Eva-official Thank you for the heads up. I agree with you about mobile check in, it’s a double edge sword. You may not like what you get and be unable to change rooms.
Just to add, if you're gold/platinum like I have been for a few years: You can mobile check-in and sometimes you will get automatically assigned a better room. At Delano they actually gave me a Penthouse Suite because all the Cisco people filled the regular rooms! But if you want to make sure you can get an upgrade, yes go to the desk.
Never mind I should have been more patient and waited to ask after I watched the entire video. 😂. Aria always has issues so I was curious how you got upgrade but I see it’s similar to my own experience there.

I did a complete loop of Calico Basin/Guardian Angel loop during the pandemic and it was a strenuous but gorgeous hiking trail.
It was my kind of scrambling, felt safe but had to work for it. Very enjoyable.
