Solve the differential equation dy/dx + y/x = 1/x^2 using the integrating factor method #calculus
Solve the differential equation dy/dx + y/x = 1/x^2 by using the integrating factor method
How to solve first-order linear ordinary differential equation?
Strategy of solving differential equations using integrating factor method:
1. Write the differential equation in the from dy/dx+P(x)y=Q(x).
2. Obtain P(x) then integrate.
3. Calculate the integrating factor, ρ=e∫P(x)dx.
4. Rewrite the differential equation in the form of d/dx ρy=ρQ(x)
5. Integrate both sides with respect to x.

    thank you! this help me a lottt!!! ❤❤but may i ask is there any solution when the expected value less than 5..? or it just applicable for expected value greater than 5

    • @ahsing_math
      @ahsing_math 4 дні тому

      Hello. Yes, if the expected frequency in a Chi-square test is less than 5, it can cause issues with the validity of the test because the Chi-square distribution assumes that the expected frequency in each category is sufficiently large (usually 5 or more). When this condition is not met, it can lead to inaccurate results. Here are a few solutions to address this issue: 1. Combine Categories: If some categories have very low expected frequencies, you can try COMBINING adjacent categories to increase the expected frequency in each. This approach is often used in categorical data where grouping similar categories is meaningful. The method in this video is still applicable. 2. Use Fisher’s Exact Test: If the Chi-square test is not valid due to low expected frequencies, Fisher's Exact Test is a good alternative, especially for 2x2 tables. It calculates the exact probability of obtaining the observed distribution, so it doesn’t rely on large sample assumptions. Then the method in this video is no longer applicable since it involves different calculations. Hope this clarifies things. Thanks for watching. Wish you a wonderful day.

    Why multiplication in 9?

    • @ahsing_math
      @ahsing_math Місяць тому

      Hello! This can be proven. Consider 51 - 15. If I let x = 5 and y = 1, then 51 - 15 = (10x + y) - (10y + x) = 10x + y - 10y - x = 9x - 9y = 9(x - y). That's why we have 51 - 15 = 9(5 - 1) = 36. Therefore, regardless of what numbers we have, as long as they are in the form "ab - ba", the answer is always equal to 9(a - b). Thanks for watching, and I wish you a wonderful day.

    • @ahsing_math
      @ahsing_math Місяць тому

      Hello, The F-distribution table typically helps you find the critical value for a given significance level (α) and degrees of freedom. To find the p-value for a given F-statistic, we usually reverse the process: look up the F-value in the table to find the corresponding probability. However, if the F-value you're working with isn't directly available in the table, interpolation can be used to estimate the p-value. Keep in mind, this method might not be very accurate depending on the degrees of freedom involved. If statistical software or tools aren't allowed, and you're using a Casio calculator, I recommend this method ua-cam.com/video/zv_yzenTCVY/v-deo.html. It's a simple and efficient way to calculate the p-value. I hope that helps! Have a wonderful day!

    In these types, if RHS=0, particular integral is also equal to zero Am I right ??

      Hello. If RHS=0, the equation is a homogeneous second-order linear differential equation. In this case, there is no external forcing function, and you only need to find the complementary function (CF), which is the general solution to the homogeneous equation. Thanks for watching. Wish you a wonderful day.
