Hey, nice video, do you feel this cdu is better than yours ua-cam.com/video/NjCyJxd8hqg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheFlightDoc ??
I really don’t know. I do like the cpflight cdu very much.
I just received just an e-mail with the question about the front 5 mm and back 3 mm panels. If you purchace the frame box. The 3 mm back panels are not necessary when purchase the frame box. Good afternoon to you Nick, Thank you for reaching out, indeed the overhead frame replaces all the plastic back panels as you will mount the panels directly on to the frame which will give it stronger feel and more realistic look, on the other hand if the overhead bought without the frame then yes we supply the 3mm plastic back panels. i hope this answers your question, let me know if you need any further help. kind regards Sam
Hello, what do you think of the Cockpitsimparts panel? I find this supplier very interesting and I would like to have your opinion on the upper part, the panels are correct or not
This is a very good supplier and panel. Very helpful in many ways. Quality is excellent. The panels are very accurate and all dimensions are exact.
I also bought the Flitepal magnetic switches for yaw damper, wing anti-ice and voice recorder. The are very, very well made and work perfectly. They are each on a Arduino mega 2560 and require no extra power with the mega driven by the standard 5v cable from a powered multi-usb port to support 5 megas for my FWD overhead. I have been asked if they heat up as small and can report no heat build-up. If you want to add simulation as they clack off, worth the investment. I have now bought the starter switches and sure they will operate as well. Ivan is great support for any setup questions. Alistair
Absolutely brilliant! 👍👍👍 I’d love a setup like this. Next step is a real time sim
Amazing setup mate the one thing I would love to learn is all about the server rack could you maybe do an in-depth video about that sometime?
Can't imagine the electric bill 😳
only 750 watts I assume, not much
@@sundar999 750 watts probably just the computer alone not including everything else added to it. My computer alone is 1000 watts and I'm only running three monitors a yoke and pedals.
@@pilotghost My gaming PC seldom draws more than 250-350 watts so it's 1000watts power supply has an easy job. My 42 inch monitors draw 50 watts each, there are 5 of them and then 3 small ones for the instrument displays
Sweet set up! In the airplane you want to be careful turning on the A side hydraulic pumps, if the ground crew has a tow bar attached it will center the nose wheel and could hurt a ground crew member. Also just a small thing, when using the APU to provide air to the passengers through the right pack, the iso valve should be selected to open. Once again tho, this is a awesome set up.
This is so incredibly awesome! Inspired by your build!
Thanks!
I'm no expert but seems to me that there are a lot of processes that could be automated instead doing them manually every time.
the plane was designed in the 60s. some newer versions do have a little bit more automation built in but not much. newly designed planes tend to have more automation
It could easily be automated by any aircraft manufacturer, but you want all those switches to fix problems in the air when automation runs havoc, you want maximum control. In a car it's different, you just park it and get it towed to a garage to fix the fault
Jesus . How to make bomb
wow gr8 job sir
Thanks!
Subscribed!
Thanks for your nice comments!
But it doesn’t have the analogue dials sadly
I have a VrInsight 737 pro overhead which I love.
And you got your wife to help too! My wife has helped me install monitors but she’s not into flight simming sadly
Incredible!!! Wow you did a great job and what a setup! Dual controls too! Simply amazing. My setup is a mix of physical controls and peripherals with triple monitors and virtual cockpit and head tracker
Hi, have you a build video yet? Thanks Alistair
No, not yet. It is almost finished. So I think in a month or two.
that landing man. ryan air pilot for sure.
Looks very promising! 👊
amazing!
I'm watching 2 yrs down the track so I hope you're finished and flying 🇦🇺🦘👍❤️
Waar heb je al doe kabels knoppen etc gekocht in Nederland?
Wow, impressive!
How much did you paid for this ? It should be a lot
Hi, mate.. How much money you spend to build this simulator on your back yard?
That's around 75k euros in panels, controls, and screens
I know the wing anti ice switch has an automatic function but I don't know if the engine anti ice switches have such a function
The engine anti-ice switches are standard 2-position toggle switches. They have the locking lever function, meaning you have to pull them out to change position. The budget replication is to just use a standard switch.
I've seen and touched the real ones. The older models (CRT) have a turn knob for brightness. The newer ones (LCD) have a rocker switch to set the brightness. So don't think you're not getting an authentic looking part because of the brightness control.
Nice
I have a question about this product.
What do you want to know?
@@737flightsimulatorbuilder5 I would like to buy 1 fmc cpflight as in the photo but as I don't have a home cockpit I would like to put it to use on the table as a cdu that I have from skalarki, how do you recommend me to build or buy a table fmc support?
Very nice setup you got there! Looks a lot like the real thing, the throttle and trim even move like they should, amazing 😮
Ziet er heel professioneel uit!
I would never leave that place lol✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
Thats great ! Nice landing brother !
Very nice. Can you please help me with the setup of the Prosim737 ACARS. Thank you
Yes I can try. 😀 what is your question?
Hey bro my best regards question which software are you using for interpretation about your instruments?
The switches and leds are connected to Mobiflight which translates them to Prosim737.
Hi - nice setup. Are you using CPflight’s WXR Panel in your centre pedestal? I’m having problems making it work with PMDG737NGX/P3D vn 4.5 setup. My centre pedestal is connected to CPflight Ethernet version MCP737PRO3, which has the latest firmware installed (Vn 312). I have tested all CPflight hardware using their own test program as suggested by Paolo from CPflight and everything tests out okay, including the WXR panel; however the WXR panel refuses to work with PMDG737 aircraft. Would I be right in thinking that WXR panel will only work via Prosim737 or Project Magenta 737? Any pointers would be appreciated. PS the test button on WXR in the virtual cockpit works okay and I use Active Sky for live weather.
Hi Zak, No I do not use Cpflight weather radar. But it is very good possible that it does not work with pmdg. Does Paolo know?
Hi - thanks for replying. I did contact Paolo initially and as I was using older version of MCP firmware, he suggested I upgrade firmware to latest version and then test all hardware for functionality using their test program, which I did and all tested okay. Cpflight web site states WXR is compatible with PMDG, but does not make it clear if its via Prosim or Project Magenta only. I thought I raise the issue with sim community before I go back to Paolo.
Hi nice video :) Are you a real 737 Pilot? Also, where did you get the checklist sheet you use in this flight?
Thanks! No just a hobby. The checklist is found somewhere on Google. Do not remember where. 😀
Is your MIP from FDS or CPflight?
It’s Cpflight.
Sorry the mip is from Engravity. The MCP is Cpflight.
Raspberry pie interesting…..
Hi man, what sim software are u using?
It is p3d with Prosim737.
