150th Anniversary Remington Model 1100 Skeet... 1 of 3000!
What would a bl1 be worth it's a double trigger?
There are quite a few factors that go into it. Your best bet is to join a shotgun forum like shotgun world, take pictures, and ask the value. For starters, I'm seeing between $500 and $600.
We need a gun collection from you!!!!!!
Thank you for your support! Maybe one of these days!
My father bought me brown 66. In about 1960 and I still have it? I also have a black and chrome and Seneca green one plus a 2nd nylon 66! I also own one (I think) it is a NYLON “65” that is clip fed??? I just let one of my best friends have another 66i had ! Barry Bailey Eden, NC
You've got quite the collection! I believe the magazine fed Nylon is a 77 which is also pretty cool
Any Auto reliably lies with who maintains it. If it does not cycle correctly clean it or have someone who knows how clean it.
Absolutely! Clean it and keep it lubricated
It’s basically a beretta 391 under a browning name
Yes, more similar to the Beretta A303 and A390
@@TAJArmory yes that’s what i meant a 390 I like the silver mallard great semiautomatic
I picked mine up from Central arms for $214 a month ago. It's Mohawk brown from 1972. It had a damaged stock but JB weld and some spray paint made it look like new. It had some rust on the barrel to sand off and reblue...but it shoots great. Amazing rife that opened the door for Glock in the 1990's. Even in the late 1950's the $49 cost would have been a weeks pay back then.
Not a bad deal since you could fix it yourself!
Yes, grease wont burn off as fast and will last a little longer, especially in tougher climate conditions
I like the OPERATION of the long-recoil operated A-5 but not the ergonomics. I'd pick an alloy receiver B-80 26" Invector choke 20 Gauge for my own use.
That might be one of the next guns I try to track down. Ive heard so many say the B80 20ga is a joy in the field if you get the right ammo for cycling
Also, ive heard the Franchi AL2 20 ga is also a joy and that is long recoil operated
The 3" Magnum will also handle high base 2 3/4" shells.
That's good to know - this one is for 2 3/4 so I haven't had a chance to test out a magnum.
The Browning BDA 380 was also a Beretta.
I'm not as familiar with handguns as shotguns and rifles, so thank you for the information! Beretta really helped out FN Browning in the late 70s and 80s
I just got one yesterday at my lgs. The serial number is in the mid 70 thousands. Theres no date code on the barrel. How are you guys dating these numbers?
I was able to find a log on Remington Society, but now the page says results not found. Another way to determine date from the pre 1921 years are the features. If the gun is marked Remington Arms Co. it is from 1908 to 1910. If it is marked Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. it is 1911 into 1916. Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Inc. 1916 into 1920. Remington Arms Co., Inc. 1920 on. With that serial number I'm gjessing a 1909 or 1910.
@TAJArmory thank you. I'll give it another look over and report back.
I bought a used 3” 26” Upland Special A303 with my first paycheck after graduating from college in 1991. This gun has the English straight stock. Other than 1 oz loads it is amazing. It has pretty good kick since it has no recoil pad and the straight stock, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
Nice! An A303 is still a gun. I'd like to get my hands on to compare with the B80
A 12 gauge synthetic Model AL390 Silver Mallard was my first dedicated 'duck gun' and has been very reliable for many years. My newer A300 20ga reminds me of the 390 which is probably why I am very fond of it too. Very reliable if you keep them reasonably clean.
I've always been a fan of the 390 series and agree it's one of the best gas operated hunting guns out there! We haven't had an A300 yet, but we will likely do a video on the A400 in the future
You forgot the Model 17. Make it a 4 part series. Good video, thanks!
You're absolutely right! Once we can get our hands on one we will make a video for sure. We also are excited to make a video on the ithaca 37 which originated from the model 17 patents
Had one in 20 gauge....favourite shotgun ive ever owned been bird hunting 50 years, so I've owned quite a few
That's definitely saying something! I really like the 12 ga and I can imagine the 20 ga is better for hunting as it's even lighter
Another great video. Keep it up.
Thank you Tim! We appreciate your continued support! Big video coming up in a few weeks... stay tuned!
I have on in black and one in brown. I would love to have the green one but the price has gone sky high. n
Yes, the prices are high on the bicentennial and Seneca green! Keep looking and you might stumble on one for a decent price!
I bought one in 85 and it would jam after every shot. The shell case would swell up in the chamber and the extractor would break a peice of brass off. Jamamatic.
I'm sorry to hear that. Was it a 30-06 and what size bullet were you using? Just curious. Thanks for your support on the channel!
@TAJArmory 30-06 180 grain. Wouldn't own another. That's why I own a BAR. Here in the south I can't think of anyone that owns a remington that doesn't jam. Maybe our humidity
I have the 16 gauge and i love it.
Those are pretty rare! That's awesome!
Just bought one from a gun show yesterday and put 5 rounds through it today. Unfortunately I had a problem with the rounds not feeding into the chamber. I think it could possibly be the magazine but I’m not 100%. I like the gun way too much to give up on it so soon so I’m going to see what I can do to fix the issue.
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with it. Is it 30-06 and will it fire if you put a round directly in the chamber? If it fires as normal, I would clean it and oil it to make sure the gas system works properly and the bolt is lubed. If youre still having trouble I'd buy a different magazine. Keep me posted and I hope you get it working!
@@TAJArmoryyes it is 30-06 and will fire if a round is put directly in the chamber. I’ll do as you suggested and start by cleaning it and replacing the magazine which I’m sure will solve the issue.
i wouldn't give a plugged nickel for one of those piece of sh@!t
I have a Bicentennial 870 (TB wood) with the Monte Carlo stock. Love it. Great video! Always wondered how many of the bicentennial models were made.
Yes, I'm a fan of the engraving on the bicentennial models. I couldn't find any actual productions numbers, however, I would estimate about 4000-5000 made total in both the skeet and trap grades. I could be well off, but back then limited edition models ranged from 500-5000 give or take
I have it also. Boy am I old, was 22 when I bought it.
Sure like the video 🎉🙂
Thank you for your support!
@TAJArmory You're welcome
Love it!
Thank you for your support!
Another great video. Agree with all points.
Thanks for your continued support Tim!
The superposed is set in trap configuration with the 32” barrels and full chokes. Very good scores for 5 Stand where you normally see skeet or improved chokes being used. Enjoyed the video, thanks.
Yes, I was surprised by the scores with the 32" full setup. I've had a chance to take it back out and have been consistent at 42/43 scores on 5 stand with the superposed
Looks like skill is more important than equipment, good video :)
That was definitely a take away when I was looking at my scores and the consistency. Both guns fit me very well too which is a must! Thanks for your support!
It always is
It was my first rifle at age 11 in 1961 for Christmas. My father and I went into downtown San Francisco and went to Roos Atkins (a men's store) where they had an outfitters department. I selected it right off the rack. I believe my father paid $65 for it along with three boxes of ammo, threw it in a bag and walked out of the store right onto Market Street with the Remington logo of the box clearly showing. When America was a free country. And yes, we still have it. Both of my sons learned to shoot with it and now my three grand daughters are learning with it.
So much history and memories with these little plastic 22 shooters! Thank you for your support!
I went through 40-50 trap guns in less than 2yrs looking for that “One” that I felt at home with and it happened to be the 90T HPAR. Kerry Allor from Michigan had worked the barrel and installed and tuned a set of .020/.030”/.040”/045” Briley thin walls. I then sent it to Kolar and they installed a factory Release trigger for me. I then the next year broke my neck after starting my own small business and I almost cried knowing I had to sell that gun. I’ve never before or since had anything that absolutely vaporized targets from the 16yd line with a .020” choke and a home loaded 1-1/8oz of 8.5’s like that gun. That was back in 07’ and to this day the man who bought it from me and whom I know quite well even tho he’s not shooting any longer absolutely refuses to sell me that gun back. So ya they’re one helluva fine target crushing smoothbore. Thanks for the video and happy 2025. Cheers from Canada
Wow, I'm sorry to hear about you having to sell your 90T... they are a rare bird these days. Hopefully one comes your way in the near future! Thank you for your support and Happy New Year!
My late father in law was big into Remington 1100s. But, he did have an old 16ga 11-48 with poly-choke in his collection that was basically just a safe queen. I've always been a 16ga guy and love the old recoil operated semi autos. When he passed, I was asked if there was anything in his gun collection I wanted. I got that old 11-48 and it's been my go to shotgun every since.
I've never played in the 16 ga or 28 ga realm, but hope to soon when I can get my hands on a few!
You missed that the 878 Automaster was made between the 58 and 1100.
You're right, I haven't mentioned the 878 Automaster yet, but will likely do a video before I do the 1100
Thanks for the ammo and congrats on 1000 subscribers!
I'm glad you received it! Start the new year out right busting some clays!
Merry Christmas, man!
I have owned several of the 742 rifles and never had a problem with any of them.for the money I found it to be very efficient and quite dependable.
Thanks for sharing! I agree, if maintained and lubricated these are excellent hunting rifles
I have owned a 742 in 308 win. for 53 years . I have used 180 gr. sp. point from Remington 200 gr. reloaded 168 gr. never had a jam or any kind of malfunction. .
Thank you for your support and sharing that. I've never heard anyone with a 308 complain... the short action is pretty nice in these.
I have an early 742 carbine in 280. Great trailing rifle.
Wow, that is a super rare rifle! Ever have any cycling issues?
I had one since teens ( I'm now 74) my rabbit gun now sits in gun cabinet
Yeah I've heard so many great things on the Nylon 66 over the years
For context at it's original MSRP adjusted for inflation, it's $400
Thank you for sharing that! Definitely in line with today's prices on 22 rifles

Great video! I have a love affair with these guns.
Yes, I'm a big fan of the 11 and 11-48.. more so the 11-48 as I like the curved receiver rather than the A5/11 design
After cocking this weapon, is it possible to disarm without having to dry fire?
No, the safest way to decock it will be to use snap caps and then fire. If it's an inertia trigger system like the superposed and citori, you'll need to smack the butt pad pretty hard to discharge the second firing pin

Not that I know of. The safest way is to use snap caps to avoid dry fire.

@@TAJArmory Thank you very much for the information!
Hey man great video! I just got one. 11-48. How do I know which year mine was made?
Thank you for your support! You can look on the left side of the barrel near the receiver and it should have 2 or 3 letters stamped into the barrel. You can then search "Remington manufacture dates" and find a website that will give the month and year decoded. You can also post on here and I'll tell you what you have
Hell yeah!
Congrats merry Christmas too you and your family
Merry Christmas
Congratulations, you have many more coming.
