Bonjour, la voiture est maintenant équipée avec la ligne complète et d'un downpipe de 200 cell. Le son a donc complètement changé depuis cette vidéo, lorsque la voiture n'avait plus justement le silencieux OPF....

Hi, i would say comfort on the Milltek is a little louder than comfort with the standard car, but not much. The pops and bangs are a bit stronger also than standard, but really the OPF holds them back alot. I upgraded mine by adding the midpipes (opf delete) and also a 200 cell high flow downpipe. Now it properly roars and burbles :-)

@@adriapinyolbarrios6941 Kind of hard to decide. Now that i have the full catback and dp it sounds how i want it to sound, so only the opf back would not satisfy me anymore.

Hi, the only additional ‘mod’ i did at the time of this video was to unplug the fuse for the exhaust valve so that it is permanently open. If you don’t do this, the car will always cold start with the valve closed, even when cold starting in Sport+. This makes the cold start alot louder. :-)

@@PetrolheadDNA Thanks for you quick answer, I have 2 questions : - Do you have a video while driving ? - Does the noise is gonna increase with kilometers ? maybe it's because the exhaust is brand new I don't listen a big difference between (barely no difference) original exhaust and this miltek? Did you have the same ?

@@assetialthibaultfoucart8439 With the OPF variant it is only the rear silencer that is replaced, so there is no new catalytic converter that gains sound with kilometers from ‘burn in’. So no, i don’t think it became louder on its own. The problem is two things: 1. The cabins are so well isolated for sound, you barely hear anything from the inside. 2. The OPF and the stock downpipe are so restrictive that the sound can not get alive. I recently installed a 200 cell high flow downpipe from DCE parts, and i must say it makes a biggggg difference. It really roars now. :-)

@@PetrolheadDNA Uffff ok I really feel to buy something useless now ahah .... But do you keep your factory BMW warranty with the unplug fuse for the exhaust valve ? Also for the downpipe do you keep your BMW warranty ? Thanks

@@assetialthibaultfoucart8439 You can just plug the fuse for the exhaust valve back in every time you like. It takes like 20 seconds, so i don’t see a warranty issue :-) As for the downpipe, you only lose warranty if the problem is caused by the downpipe. Also, i would not worry too much about it. These cars are very reliable.

@@PetrolheadDNA That is a huge sound improvement imo. Living in Australia and we are getting the opf model same as Europe. That means I don't have to get a cat-back as it throws CEL light. OPF back should be good for me! Thank you!

Nah, the kinda ratling sound right after start up. I may be oversensitive tho😅

Binnenin is het niet luider. De ASD overstemt het motorgeluid net als met de originele demper. Er zijn wel wat meer pops en burbles, en ze zijn ook wat krachtiger, zeker als de wagen koud of semi-koud staat hoor je naar mijn mening een aardig verschil. Algemeen zou ik niet zeggen dat hij echt luider is, t'is meer de toon die wat dieper geworden is.

Bedankt voor uw antwoord, misschien nog een laatste vraag: zou je deze opnieuw doen of is er te weinig verschil voor 2k?

Thanks! Neen er is niets anders weggehaald dan de originele einddemper die vervangen is door de Milltek. Er zit na de OPF bij dit model ook niets meer buiten de demper, dus met de Milltek demper en klep open heb je een 'straight pipe' vanaf de OPF. Deze uitlaat is gehomologeerd met ECE-goedkeuring. Je krijgt een attest mee dat je gewoon moet tonen bij de keuring zonder meer. Herprogrammatie was niet nodig. Kostprijs inclusief plaatsing was 1.950 EUR bij Dvx te Willebroek. Het geheel klinkt iets voller/dieper dan origineel, maar t'is subtiel. Het beetje geburbel dat er nog is, is ook wat sterker.

@@PetrolheadDNA Super bedankt voor het snelle antwoord. Dvx ken ik wel. Ik heb ook een b58 met opf maar het is nogal moeilijk om uitlaten te vinden enzo... Dit helpt me zeker vooruit. Als je ooit is een video maakt van een fly-by en dergelijke, zou zeker leuk zijn.

Depends on what you call ‘significant’. There is a change, but i’d call it a subtle one.

Correct, OPF still in place. ECE verified, so road legal. Exhaust flap set to 'always open' also.
