Super lame, I have a headache now.
Nice video. I just got a 2001 XT225and I liked your.back rack but you didn't say the make or model. Do you know?
This is great! Very cool the way you captured the swoop of the Delage’s frame rails and engineered the spring mounts to accommodate it! I’m really surprised I hadn’t seen this awesome build before since I’ve been dreaming of creating my own Delage CK for years! Where did you get that gearbox/axle?
Interesting concept and well executed . Looks like a nice build 👍
What trans axle did you use?
Thanks for the info on the boot. I just ordered an oem boot from Partzilla and I hope it's the correct one.
Good job The brake is a easy fix, if you set your mind to it…
Blithering waste of time no script, poot and erratic video no explanation of any thing about it.
Did you watch the whole video before commenting?!
Gearbox in the rear-end? If so what gear ratio? I'm attempting a front engine build myself but there isn't a lot of info out there.
Awesome video! I'm toying with the idea of a forward engine cycle kart. Your video has answered many questions. I'm very grateful.
Although I wanted a front engine, because i need to be able to sleep in the cockpit... i have to eliminate everything possible including the angular steering rod. That must be made high and level then do a 90° angle to the rack and pinion steering i will most likely have to build as well. I must make the spindles 1" because i am using 4 bolt rims from a golf cart the pedals i have to hinge so they can be up and off to the side when sleeping. Sleeping is very important since i have difficulty walking any distance and sometimes when i fall its nearly imoossible to get back up. I live in severe chronic pain and only have one leg and a prostetic pkus too many injuries affecting what i can and cannot do. I can do a cycle cart but i only have a cross kart and little finances. If you dont mind my asking. How much did you endeavor cost?
Why didn’t you show us the engine?
Love your car very interesting. Pleas do something with your camera work. It hurts my eyes😆
Sorry my first video
Looks like a fascinating cyclekart. Too bad the video is so erratic and jumpy.
What are you smoking?? Video.is titled (Front engine cyclecart)but only shows a.rear engine????
What you are seeing out back is a fuel tank over top of the transaxle , engine is under the hood up front
You guys are goofy. The engine can.be seen in the rear.
I think that from the rear what we see is the gas tank on top, and the tranaxle below that.
@@TheRealThomasPaine1776 correct
Any plans to built one.with lifan 110cc semi automatic
How do you make sure the axle doesent move around? Is there also a shroud around it so it wont catch your clothes?
PLEASE DONT make any more videos...
Ha ha, yeah they're pretty primative, but I do it just so I will exist after I'm gone, funny to look back and get a laugh.
@@theaverageworkshop6812 how you liking your xt225?
@@ronotardo I think they are some of the best bikes that yamaha has ever made. Reliable and super fun to ride, I've been riding for 52 years
@@theaverageworkshop6812 right on, I have a 2000 with 12k miles, love it, its so much fun.
@@ronotardo I have two, 05&06 my son and I have been to big bend and lincoln natl Forest in NM, the bikes are like one of the guys, ready to go anywhere and won't do anything stupid to get you hurt, I traded a 08 drz400S for the 06+ 1200 and have never regretted a minute of it, rdz too tall, too heavy, only a 5 speed, 1st gear too high, seat was pure torture.
What wheels are those in the rear? Make and model I mean.
If remember correctly they are 1983 4 5 6 Kawasaki kx80 same for the front.
I thought cycle karts mandate centrifugal clutch and single speed chain drive?
No
They go by the Stevenson formula just about all use torque converter and chain I only use top gear and reverse
I've been wanting to do something similar for years... still vintage bodies, but with Lifan 250cc V-twin engines/tranny combo, and alloy wheels.
@@sylentxtinction2097 yeah same here, I like the idea of a v twin, you run into torque converter shaft size problems, that leads to drive line problems, that's why motorcycle engines with tranies already in them sound like a better idea, I want the crank longitudinal in the car, I would have to get a lathe and learn some machining skills, starts to get expensive unless you have all the tools, then there's reverse gearing probably easier with electric motor, a lot of the fun is building and overcoming all the obstacles, have a good time thinking about this, I hope you get started
@@theaverageworkshop6812 - the reverse issue is easily resolved. Reversing gear boxes are plentiful. The best ones tend to be a little pricey, however they are shuttle shift and work much better in low power applications as they are completely disengaged in forward. For a short time Lifan produced a V-twin with a longitudinal 3 speed gearbox, but it typically sold for well over $1,000. That's a no-go for budget racing, unless the engine/trans are owned/quarantined by the sanctioning body. That would require racers to have a mockup and damper at-home testing... so the sanctioning body would have to hold test-and-tune events.
Hallo ser you have exra any carburator very hard to pind here in philipines i well pay
Sorry no I don't, go to eBay.
How much are you over driving the transaxle?
What about the rear diff and all? Where'd you get that?
the rear diff is a peerless 820 that is locked
I don't see anything "average".
Love to know more !
Whats the displacement of the engine? Whats the top speed? Hp?
212cc. Speedo says 40
6.5 hp
The Average Workshop awesome! Steel frame?
@@cobush2448 Yes, and not very heavy either, shine on you crazy diamond.
There's not so much front engine cycle karts. Yours is very nice. It would be interesting to have a look on the chassis and transmission. Any link to pictures ? What kind of rear axle is it ? Taken from a lawn mower ? Congratulation ! I love this art work.
I documented the build on the cyclekart website. Under bds delage
Peerless 820 6 speed manual
Very interesting layout. And this Delage cyclekart is beautiful. Is it possible to see what there is inside ? Engine, transmission, chassis, front and rear axles... I'm looking for ideas to build mine.
I have a video up on you tube of a Walk around with pics of how it's done
Apparently, from the length of the hood, a Straight Eight or V 16. These cars just make me smile - more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Luvvit!
Nice work
