The car is a garage queen normally, so it's not subject to this weather or treatment very often. But also to the counter point - I don't really care. I bought it to have fun with it, so sometimes you take it out in less than ideal conditions. Also depends on where you live! In the PNW it rains for weeks if not months at a time. So while I do have a truck and an SUV for this weather, sometimes I like to mix it up. Besides, gives me a chance to wash it ;). Oh also the whole thing is ceramic coated - so it is a breeze to detail it.

@@teraflopmedia5596 and nice comp. I drove a ‘20 comp and it was markedly faster than my ‘16 og. The stance and front Facia look better too on the comp. Better brakes. Still it had more miles, the seats were ragged and was 7k more. It was out of my price range. Plus, as is well documented n55 sounds better. M2 comp bad MFer tho and the s55 w six speed is so brutal.

@@casey2173 yeah I do all my own detailing. It's actually going up for sale soon for a G80 XDrive or an R35. Still on the fence! The M2 Competition is great and I like it, coming from an F80 M3 and modified Evos before it. But I'm ready to play a little bit more at a higher level and I'd rather not build an S55 although a built single turbo M2C would be sick, I'm more of an AWD guy given the climate I am in. RWD is great and you can put it on a tire but it will only do so much and I don't want to do burnouts on radials just to hook for some fun. AWD platforms seem a bit more usable for me, though I do love this car..

@@teraflopmedia5596 here’s my thing. I had an x drive m235i and that the traction was just too much for me. I don’t want a 4wd platform. I want more play and slide than grip and lap time. Evos are really cool. That’s a tricked out, more dramatic lancer right?! The other thing here is I live in Michigan so while we don’t have the rain like you guys do, we are basically frozen for 4 mos. out of the year. So there’s that.

not if you can handle RWD properly. I always drive with TC off in my M2 Comp Stage 2. You just have to get used to being able to control the car when it goes sideways.

2:32 I don't think the driver realises just how close this is to being out of control. You can't predict your grip levels well in the rain and that could've gone badly very quickly.

Agreed I don't mind the S55 or S58. I am partial to the higher revving capabilities of the S55, but no pinned crankhub was a mistake from the engineers. S58 seems like an awesome engine full of neat upgrades.

@@teraflopmedia5596 Whoops, meant S55! Agreed, both are great engines. I believe there are retrofit kits that address the crank hub issues for the S55, though, I don't think it's a super wide-spread issue with most S55s. Definitely not as widespread as the rod-bearing issues on the S65 haha.

It was actually the head mount and just tilted down a bit.

Forehead facing down at an angle I've found gives it the best view!

I have been thinking about purchasing that midpipe as well - I've heard good things! Please do let me know how you like the sound difference! I absolutely agree, I bought my M2C at the start of COVID and working from home -- these drives are absolutely needed to stay sane! Cheers mate!

I will let you know for sure. My one concern was living in California I need to stay somewhat emissions compliant. So the stock down pipes and muffler are staying. Just changing the mid pipe. Non resonated version btw. This guy has the same setup and this clip got me to buy the mid pipe.
