Thanks for your information, you just saved me a lot.
How hard was it to get that zf6 in there??
So as far as distance how many miles can you receive in repeater mode. And how many miles in non repeater mode.. thanks
What is the name , model, price of the welder ? Where to buy one ?
Thats normal ma man, you have pcv system inside, so it is routed back to the intake. Its not excessive
Good stuff mate.. I learned a fair bit from this video. Thanks. I cuttently have 2 AGM's from my caravan.. One measures 8v under load, and the other 10.5. Do you think this method of yours will save the 8v bat?
The grass is not greener it's just a different shade of green
The LORA chips usually have a TX_CTRL output to switch the antenna between its TX and RX pins… The amplifier also has an input for manually switching it between RX and TX as opposed to the slow automatic detection. I got this working successfully for TX by tapping into that control signal and buffering it so that it can “manually” switch the amp between RX and TX and none of the data gets cut off. This same control signal can also be used to operate an RF switch that could let you switch beween dedicated RX and TX antennas. What i found with these modules is that they attenuate RX too much so I am bypassing it for RX
This is great information
Thanks dude I love this idea!
Any updates? I am interested in this setup

Can I recommend a white cane for anyone who removes the charger leads while the charger is running? You could spark off an explosion of hydrogen gas, blow the top off the battery, and end up with acid in your eyes. Similar hazard having the load charger leaning against the battery while testing.
The welder being a DC [ARC] confused me a bit, I don't really understand what restoring or re-conditioning was accomplished. A warm day outside so the battery wasn't too cold hot or cold; meaning the battery should take up to around a 15v charging and been happy. The welder I could have believed might have done some benefit if it had been an AC Voltage welder, being that it would have acted as a desulfation device. Hitting the battery with a DC welder [High Amperage~200A /Low Voltage~12V] would have just acted as a higher than normal charging source, with lower than desired topping voltage. Depending on the electrolyte level in the cells the higher amperage had the potential to burn the top of the plates if the Glass Mat was dry causing a dead short in the plates. For the AGM Battery Recondioning at a battery shop the process is almost exactly the same as a standard lead acid battery with removable caps, the battery is washed down so no dirt gets knocked into the battery, then the weight of the clean battery is taken and compared to the stated weight by the manufacturer, anything less is water that was burned off and gets weighed back into the battery as de-ionized water. You just have to cut the caps out, add water, charge it then glue the caps back in.

Is there any way to connect the column shifter to the fuel throttle and make a cruise control/throttle controller.
I took my MB 800 cca to O'Reilly's, they charged it twice said no good, AutoZone charged it twice it was 100%
should really let it absorb and rest for awhile before load testing
yeah I'm not sure about this when you start with a battery that has 12.4 volts which is normal resting voltage for a 12-volt battery so what did you fix
Well, technically it is greener..😅
They must always be board sun up to sun down
Is your name Gill? You look like gill Jimenez dude from LI
As the owner of barrel horses and as well as a girl who jumped the gun on a few horses and regretted it, I think its so good that she is able to tell that she's not comfortable. I remember being so excited just about the fact of just getting a horse so I told my mom I wanted it and turned out she was not a good horse so I'm glad she was not just going by excitement so props to her good job! new sub to both channels :)
Thanks for the comment and sub. We are in the process of learning this passion with my daughter. Hopefully we can find a good horse.
@@PRSH8YAPROJECTS You're welcome! i'm sure you will it takes time though :)
i would Rip the RF Shield off an have a Good look at it's guts even take them to be X rayed (Fake bootleg IC Hardware) and see if the dev meshtastic can add in a Pin on the ESP32 To come on Sooner than it TX to Alert the amp to switch Much sooner
We are on the same page
girl's just wont too have fun god bless
Cool.
Just found your channel now, I'm very interested in the LoRa and meshtastic. I wonder if the small amount of extra cable required to patch the amplifier is introducing just enough loss to negate the amplifier gain. Just a thought. Can't wait to see more of this project
Make one dedacted to transmit and one recive if possible
I thought about that. It's all in the switching and they don't allow dedicated.
If you are in US , you should be on 915mhz
Unless you are licensed
I be so mad and angry at her
433mhz, ham bands in US
Thanks for your comment!
I lidderley thought it was snow
Interesting. You would think that if it is clipping the header, you would get the same packets dropped when you are up close as far away. Have you tried turning the spreading factor as high as possible and the data rate as low as possible. This would increase the time it takes to send the synchronization header. Less of the header would be clipped. Interesting.
That is good information, I will try that.
why didnt you go with the normal US 915mhz ?
I have a FCC business license in the 400mhz band and wanted to use it.
Is that a 433mhz amp on 915mhz? Are you in the UK?
868 mhz in the uk
I am in the USA, I am using a band in the 400ish MHz
@@PRSH8YAPROJECTS If your useing 400MHz you could be interfering with public safety services. Are you a ham? The US ham 70cm band states at 420Mhz. If your licensed, you can use that.
I appreciate the comment but I would be stupid to use a frequency that I am not licensed for especially posting a video for all 3 letter agencies to watch.
@@PRSH8YAPROJECTS Not trying to be insulting. Sorry if I offended.
Thank for the update from UK
I will be testing a few ideas from comments and will do an update video with that info.
God thank you!
You're welcome!
Hardly a hack, but a helpful tip.
I was thinking about a small amp myself and have a few but haven't tried them yet. looks like you already did so I may just can that idea and maybe use them for receive only on other projects.
They don't seem to switch from Rx to tx quick enough so the beginning gets clipped.
With these kinds of things, usually antennas are the way to go.
I am swapping all my antennas out to test
Is that thing going to be running in repeater mode?
That's the plan
@@PRSH8YAPROJECTS What's the power consumption estimate per day? Just curious. I want to try using routers/repeaters in a woodsy place.
Which antenna do you recommend?
I am starting to test with different antennas soon. There will be an update
Does the base-board keep the batteries charged automatically via the solar panel, acting as a battery bypass circuit with an uninterruptible power supply? Or do I need to purchase an external always-on battery bank (Voltaic) and charge it with solar directly?
The solar charges the bank.
Mountain? Well anyway, I'm not sure how you intend to hide it but don't assume it is hidden well unless you can be super sure. People notice things and then get curious...
That's my fear but it is private property and it will be pretty high. Fingers crossed
@@PRSH8YAPROJECTS I hope it works. It looks like a fun project.
The amplifier you're using looks to be a 433MHz transceiver amplifier? Is that the ISM Band you're using? I'd be interested to see the result of feeding that amplifier module through a Spectrum Analyser or at least a small SA Device like a Nano VNA etc, via a suitable attenuator of course - In short, an amplifier will never degrade performance, so it's either faulty or designed for a different ISM Band.
It isn't an ism band, it is setup for private FCC license. I hear what you're saying, but the problem seems to be when the amplifier switches from the receive to the transmit mode. It's a little delayed which cuts off part of the transmission
Too bad lithium titanate batteries are so expensive. It would be perfect for withstanding the wide range of temperatures in that box.
Agreed
Thankkkkkkkkk youuuuhh
Very annoying
Thank you oh man of men.🙇
It makes me frustrated
First, where are you? It looks like the Tennessee Valley. Next, I had a similar problem with an amp when playing with 2.5 GHz WIFI over ham radio, My rougher was overdriving the amp. Try reducing the output power of the LoRa transmitter and see if it starts working,
Tried reducing the output but had zero change, thanks for the comment
The amplifier is surely not receiving, interpreting and retransmitting your message, it is just trying to amplify the analog signals. Maybe it is just a bad product, not for your frequency or introducing noise. So probably no delay, no cutting off.
I think he is talking about the TX/RX switch delay.
That is exactly what I am talking about
This is exactly the kind of set up I've thinking about, well done. I can't wait to hear the results.
