Sailing in the Wake of Captain Nicholas Daw, Commissioner of Bath, NC
This is a sail from Oriental to Bath and around the inland waters of the North Carolina Outer Banks. My ancestor, Nicholas Daw, was a captain who settled in Bath during the early 1700s. We thought that traveling the same waters and approaching Bath from water would be significant and it was.

Was looking at chartering the smaller catalina from Bow to Stern. Saw your video on Ocracoke. How long was the sail from your anchorage to Ocracoke? Are there other good anchorages in the area? Is there a resource for local float plans? Would appreciate any help you might be able to give. Thanks - good videos.
It looks perfectly amazing, congratulations!!
Thank you so much Mindy. From one who has seen so much property, we appreciate it.
Well done. Always enjoy a “sail” with you guys
Glad you enjoyed it. I’d love to do a brothers sail.
I loved this! The story, the video and the music were all wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Colleen. So glad that you enjoyed it.
Nice video. Had to turn volume up on my laptop to 100% for the initial narrative. Looks like a great adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, sorry about the volume. Need to get an auxiliary mic.
I much enjoyed watching your video and am looking forward to see all the future development. BTW, the back ground music is perfect. You've landed on a gorgeous property.
Thank you very much! I know that you realize how much work goes into a place. You have certainly made a show place out of Kilburnie and the Inn at Craig Farm. Bob
Oh, that may have been one of Crockett’s first airplanes… he was scared!
I think so. It definitely got his attention.
When someone tells Bob to “go take a hike”… he could not be happier. 😂 So, take a hike with Crockett.
Beautiful spot! Hope you all are doing well
Thank you. Doing very well and I hope you are also.

Yes. We will bring a dinghy next time to do some exploring.
@@bob3409 you need to check out the light house and the horses
@@SVFresh2Salty We saw the horses from the boat. I used to live on Ocracoke but had never been to Cape Lookout. Great destination. We will check it out next time.
I still love looking at this!
The garden looks fabulous! I'll send you a recipe for zucchini bread so you can make good use of all of that zucchini . I made homemade marinara sauce with our abundance of tomatoes and basil. YUM!!
Thank you so much. It has been fun putting it together. I would love some recipes for the zucchini and the tomato sauce. We have been putting up quartered tomatoes to use in soups later on but the sauce would be great. Thanks a bunch.
Great video!
Thank you so much. I hope that you enjoy your visit to the rock.
I'm visiting Lancaster next week and found your video when looking into the history of the area. Thanks for your passion and willingness to share your knowledge.
I hope you have a good visit. Andrew Jackson State Park, Lands Ford Canal State Park, The battle of Camden site and Hanging Rock are nearby areas with some important history. Enjoy the visit. Thank you for the kind words.
That was superb, Bob.
Thanks Frank. It was a great trip.
What a awesome little isolated pond
thanks. It is a place that we seem to take for granted until we slow down a little. Looks like you have some great photos of some amazing places also.
Gorgeous property! Good job.
Thank you! The whole family enjoys time at “the farm”.
Thanks Bob. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it. Always an enjoyable walk.
Bob Great Job, In a few short minutes you have told the story of this infamous battle. Many Thanks Ken Obriot, President Friends of the Buford Massacre Battlefield.
Glad to keep the story going. Thanks for all that the Friends have done. I see more and more people learning about our history.
Do you have strings or wire fence over the tops of some beds. Is that to keep cats out?
yes, it is for the cats. we use cattle panels that I cut with a bolt cutter to fit the area. I have used other fencing but these give you room to weed and keep the cats out.
Bob Bundy I need to do this in my garden. We have 2 cats and they just love to go in the garden!
Love this so much Bob!
Thank you so much. So many have given so much. You have seen the sacrifice within your own families. Thank you all.
Bob Bundy Wayne would like to know where he can get the Persevere sticker. 🇺🇸
