I cannot find anything online to back up this discovery, but my personal experience is that spearmint tea eliminates pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and other uncomfortable menstrual symptoms.

    I’m a it confused because isn’t most house water hard water so it contains chloride or chlorine . Iv heard someone say that combined with ammonia is similarly bad to using ammonia and bleach since bleach has chloride . I wanna use it , especially maybe at a laundromat to disinfect before I wash . I have some clothes that got I think pesticides or some chemicals on hay. My friend burned hay and I got stuck in a ton of smoke for like a half hour. I’m having a weird allergic reaction , I quickly washed my clothes on a short cycle and I think I need something more thorough to wash it out , my eyes have been ultra baggy for almost a month now . Constantly irritated . Thing is it’s clothes that loose their color was, from lucky brand and I don’t want to strip the color . Does ammonia order stick after wash easily? Is ammonia something that doesn’t smell once evaporated or dry? Like if I also let clothes just sit in it and water and the air dryed or is it hard to remove it from fabric?

    • @wittyler132
      @wittyler132 11 місяців тому

      I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. A cup of ammonia in the wash should strip out those skin irritants. Don’t worry about the chlorine in tap water. It is such a tiny amount that it won’t cause any problems. The problem comes from adding equal amounts of chlorine and ammonia, which can cause serious injuries if inhaled. Yes, the ammonia will wash out cleanly and won’t leave a smell behind. It has a strong smell while washing, but rinses out clean and your clothes will have a nice freshness to them. It’s fine to soak your clothes in ammonia, and then wash it out. I wouldn’t air dry clothes that haven’t been rinsed though. You need to rinse the ammonia out or it will irritate your skin. Some people use vinegar in their laundry, which actually does leave a smell, so I would avoid vinegar. Best of luck!

    • @heythere6983
      @heythere6983 11 місяців тому

      Thanks for the response , you think if I did this in a laundromat it would smell too much? Also idk if I missed it, do you just use as much ammonia as you do detergent usually? Or even less product than a detergent since it’s so strong? Thank you I really appreciate you willing to respond

    • @wittyler132
      @wittyler132 11 місяців тому

      @@heythere6983 For big loads of laundry, I add one cup of ammonia. For smaller loads I’d cut it to half a cup. I’ve always used the same amount of detergent, but I suppose you could try using less and see if you get the same result. I wouldn’t worry too much about the smell at the laundromat. It does smell but the laundromat is a pretty big space, so the smell should dissipate. Save it as the last step though. Don’t open the bottle until you’re ready to pour it in and start the wash. It’s mostly a problem if it’s left out in the open. If it’s possible to open a door or window something, that would be a good idea, but you have a right to get your clothes clean either way.

    • @heythere6983
      @heythere6983 11 місяців тому

      Oh ok so I mentioned detergent as kind of an idea of how much ammonia to use in place of laundry detergent. So you use both at once? Don’t think any chemicals in detergent could create some sort of reaction with ammonia? Or is it fine to only use ammonia and that will clean everything in its own? Thanks again I’m literally holding off on doing laundry until I figure this bit out. And I’m overdue for laundry lol

    • @wittyler132
      @wittyler132 11 місяців тому

      @@heythere6983 yes, you can safely use ammonia with laundry detergent. Detergent is a great invention that reduces the time and effort of getting clothes clean. We used to have to literally beat the crap out of clothes before the invention of detergent. I wouldn’t skip the detergent. There’s usually a separate tray for detergent and other cleaners. I put the ammonia in one of the separate trays. That way the detergent can do its thing, and the ammonia can finish the job. Don’t worry about residues that might be in those trays. The amount is too small to cause a health problem. All the best!

    Beyond the first couple of washes, It's not the _dye_ from dark clothes that transfers to lighter clothes - it's the microscopic amounts of coloured _lint_ that get into the fibres of your white T-shirt, turning it muddy-looking... I'm with you on the ammonia, though - that and hydrogen peroxide are brilliant for laundry...

      Isn’t there chloride in tap water, so isn’t using ammonia with hard water basically as dangerous as mixing ammonia with chlorine/bleach? Also is ammonia something that is hard to wash out of clothes? Prolonged rinse or just normal wash? And I was curious , can someone soak clothes in it and rinse and let dry out and it won’t smell? Does the scent go away as it dries or does it linger? Any tips?
