Hi Sharon, yes comps mean that our rooms in Vegas are free. We enroll in the Casino rewards programs and they evaluate our spend (I.e how much we put in the slots and how long we gamble), and we are then offered “Comps” for our next trip. we have been doing this for many years.

It was a fantastic deal. I’ll be keeping an eye out for that again.

Coming from a country where we don’t tip it was hard to get used to tipping when I first went to USA. But now I factor the cost into my trip budget. I tip at sit down restaurants (usually always 20% unless the service wasn’t great), $5 a day tip for housekeeping, $1-$2 a drink for cocktail waitresses and bartenders, and 15% for Uber and Taxi drivers or 20% if they help with luggage.

Couldn’t agree with you more. Even if it was just basic drinks sick as beer wine and soft drinks that were free. They would entice so many more people through the doors if they did that.

@@huntingvegas 100%. They used to have free soft drinks/tea/coffee and vouchers for snacks in the beginning...then got greedy and stopped it. It's a shame.

What makes “Vegas,Vegas” is the COMPETITION 👏👏👏. 🤦‍♀️. I cannot with some!!!

I was mahogany member for a few years. Was good times and good profit. They don't have to give away drinks as people play anyway and they change the rules that much on games they have a much larger edge than where there is competition. Would also attract worse types and increase danger I think days as well in Melbourne. More competition would be good possibly or laws about return to player % so they can't continually increase the house edge. Don't have to give anyone anything free if you are literally the only place in the state to play tables. In mahogany they only spoil the players because of the sheer volume of losses and the fact those players will happily fly interstate and stay at another casino if not well looked after.

I am so sad that it's closed, I wish I could have gone there just one last time. It truly holds alot of great memories.

My comp was through MGM rewards. I’ve not used myvegas room comps. But I dare say they’d be fairly similar. No refrigerator, a lot of rooms do not come with an empty one. But you can request one for a fee.

That was a great first night in Vegas. We loved meeting you both and hope we see you again on another trip soon.

We weren’t happy with that being canceled. Not so much the fact they had to cancel due to emergency, but that we weren’t notified and that didn’t leave us time to arrange another tour.

I can highly recommend going to NASA and to Kennedy space Centre in Orlando too. I’d go back in a heartbeat. I think my heart did stop when I couldn’t find my phone, thank goodness for that Uber driver needing to eat his dinner.
