This is such a faithful, bold and crystal clear message about obedience and the consequences for partial obedience, thank you pastor Tim.
Very, very powerful message! Amen to "complete obedience!" Holy Spirit help us/me. I want God/Jesus to sit on the throne of "my" heart 🙏🏽
Very well said, I honestly wanted to know that I do love God and a good quote I heard was, “Don’t let the world change your love for God, let your love for God change the world.” And whenever I invite Christ into my High School, into all things I do, it’s one of the best choices I have made, where God knows me a lot better than myself, my first year of High School was good because of what Jesus did for me, and the amazing things he worked for in my life.
Or you could just say believe the gospel. The good news that jesus the son of God died for the sins of the whole world and was risen up again on the third day for our justification. When a man or woman has believed the gospel they are then sealed with the holy spirit. The struggle of many believers is that they look at themselves and what the flesh is doing instead of looking at christ and what he did. Its hard for many of us to stop trusting in these fleeting chaotic thoughts and feelings and trust in what God says is true of us. If you believe the gospel then you have believed on the lord jesus christ and if you believe the gospel then you will love one another because you dont just believe the gospel for yourself but you also accept your brother by the gospel as well. Christ is everything and its sometimes hard for us to lay focus on him. Its hard for me as well because we have all these people running about spewing condemnation as if my own mind wasnt trying to do that enough and it gets me to start freaking out because i start questioning my self and whether i believed the gospel when i know for a fact that i do and even when these moment's come im brought right back to the beginning remembering of who i am in christ and the promises of God. If you believe the gospel then you are saved
Amen. Very wel said. We look to Christ and not ourselves.
Says a guy on stage with a platform 🤣
I guess you’re right… this is not a platform built on a celebrity though, it’s build on the word of God.
This trip has been life-changing!!! All glory to God ❤
I visited this church in February. It is wonderful. Full of the Love of Jesus. Thank you for welcoming me. ❤
Great message Tim, was here live for this :))
Glad you enjoyed it
I wonder if there were any people in the audience with eating disorders when someone was raving about the wonderfully decadent chocolate cake from a bakery in New York. Is there a difference in circumstances?
Great point! The example used here is because drinking is often an easier to understand topic and more 'taboo' within Christian culture, but we would agree that the same logic applies to anything. We should always try and do our best to encourage others in living more like Christ.
As a Christian who has had substance abuse issues I can 100% say that that’s the best way to deliver that message, no judgment and with understanding that we’re all human and do stupid things. Definitely have had my problems like everyone else but there is something to be said about the sober guy in the room, it actually shoes a lot about someone’s character and discipline.
This is a Western Christian thing.
We’re just going to skip the whole water into wine thing huh 😅
What do you mean?
Why I will never be a pastor. He's correct. But that ain't me. God bless and cheers.
We are called to be representatives of Christ. Even if we have a single drink with dinner at a restaurant, people aren't going to take Godliness away from that. We need to represent Christ all the time.
That’s an extremely subjective line of thinking. Jesus drank, it’s extremely clearly stated in the Bible as okay before excess. That’s the only debatable point of translation. Drinking isn’t in opposition to God.
@@garretfeile5235 You do you.
@@codyfieldcamp7765but see, that’s the thing. You say, “people aren’t going to take Godliness away from that”. Why would they be taking anything away from seeing someone out at dinner? How can you look at someone and automatically assume they don’t know Jesus? Even IF you do know them in passing, and have prior knowledge of them being Christian, or being of any religious belief, why would you be judging them at all? That is not being Christ-like. My understanding of the teaching is that to serve the Lord and represent our Father, we should be Christ-like, as that is what it literally means to be Christian. Also, I’ve always been taught, “Judge not lest ye be judged” and “He that is w out sin among you, let him be the first to cast a stone at her”. It’s always amazed me how people want to weaponize scripture as a means to hurt others, but yet if we’re truly taking our own moral inventories daily than we wouldn’t even have the time to sit around & worrying about others in order to feel more superior. Serving the Lord is NOT a competition! There is no prize in Heaven for being a better Christian than our neighbor. And if it’s not our place to judge, who in this mortal life is in charge of deciding who among us is the “best”? I can’t relate bc I love everyone bc I know that My GOD knows my heart. He knows that I know that PRIDE is a sin- and it comes before the fall. So, I worry abt myself & my family. And I might go by myself a nice bottle of wine even though I don’t drink. 😂
Didn’t Jesus allegedly turn water into wine?
If you research the Greek for the word wine it’s grape juice
@@BronsonLivesHere209 wine is juice so that checks out. But juice ferments and it wasn't until Welches that we would get juice that didn't ferment. They had wine skins back in the day and didn't just toss out the "juice" as it fermented. They all, Jesus included, drank wine. Not encouraging people to drink but I think the "it's just juice" message is silly.
@@BronsonLivesHere209it’s not. Very commonly used word for wine. It’s alcohol.
@@BronsonLivesHere209 After Jesus' resurrection, some Christians were scolded by Paul for being drunk off of communion wine, so it was alcohol.
This will always be the great debate amongst Christians..but he said it best in the beginning..God will judge..ehen people know a sin of yours they dont look at you the same as if they are without sin..do tired of the hypocrisy.
❤
My boy needs more wisdom
No he doesnt
Well he does but not in the sense your talking about
More wisdom like you? You need more humility
Good thing, none of the people Jesus hung around were sinners
Yes they were everyone is a sinner except Jesus.
They were all sinners, that's the point of Jesus hanging around them. The difference is that disciples strive to become more like Jesus, the only one who never sinned.
