If thats a 1976 80ci motor then its been bored/stroked from a 74ci and put into a 1980 FXWG because thats what this bike is....1978 was the first year of the 80ci.... and you better believe whatever year Shovelhead this is, its been completely torn down and rebuilt. Otherwise, if it were stock it would have blown itself to a million pieces on this dyno. They were junk engines from the factory with a ton of internal issues. Amazingly this is the motor that almost put HD out of business but today everybody wants?????

I love the sound of these bikes. I'm in the market for a new bike, probably going to get a used one for insurance purposes. Everyone talks about how great the Ducati's are, which I agree they look great, but I love the sound of the ninjas way more. I'm looking at a 2008 Ducati 848, or a ninja ZX7, ZX9, or ZX10R. People think I'm crazy, but I like the ninja sound a lot better than the Ducati for some reason. The price is comparable om each model I'm looking at, but I think I'm going with the ninja over the Ducati!

Yeah it is a burden having one so large. It gets squashed when I ride my 2006 zx-10r. This is a buddies bike that I filmed. I find that guys that make comments about someones penis that isn't his needs to look closer at his own.

I have this bike. It's a project for this winter and I couldn't be happier. It means a lot to me as Scott Russell was my Hero growing up. I always wanted this bike. Now I have one. Looks wise i want it to resemble his AMA championship bike but who knows what I'll end up doing mechanically. Great video. Gets my blood pumping

Stock is about 78 hp and 100 ft lbs of torque; these shops like to fudge a little to make you happier with your bike, or their tune job. I still think it's the best bike out there though, that's why i got one!

@rhyanvosburg001 makes me want to restore my 7, i got hit by a car a few years ago. some asshole ran a red light and t-boned me. the frame and engine are still good. GOD I LOVED THAT BIKE!!!!

@MrDankness60 My 06 will do 109 in first. I am a 300lb rider. He is 220lb rider. he also has a gearing kit so he accelerates faster. Up to my 3rd gear he keeps up but he is banging through the gears. He is in 5th by the time I am in 3rd. It is when I shift to fourth that I take off and leave him.

@rhyanvosburg001 how? i had a '98 7r a couple years ago. now i have a 09 zx10r. the 10r will bang out 130mph in 1st gear. the 7r can only do that in its dreams....

I remember... I got back up power and a generator now. May never use it, but peice of mind goes a long way.

so glad kawasaki did away with the underseat exhaust on the zx10 it looked terrible now yamaha needs to do the same on the R1

A quick update. Bike was outsidw a couple of weeks ago in a bad wind storm. It was blown over and broke the belly plastics and added some minor scratches. I called the insurance company and got $430 to fix it. Ordered GREEN plastics so it will look like a 2007. Am gonna fix the scratches with some touchup paint and then good as new. Oh, and my deductable wont go up due to it being weather related.
