The 2019 Piper M600 starting up on its way to Vero Beach for training
On a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being very difficult, initially how much of a transition is it from the 350 to the 600?
Probably 4 to 5
@@kevinkauffman248 Thanks
@@Matt.Jernigan are you looking to upgrade?
@@kevinkauffman248 Not now. Just early stages in researching
Inspiring ;-)
That turbine light off is like hearing Steven Tyler hit the high notes. 🎶
Yeahhhh the sound of that thing inside and outside sounds wild. I get chills every time I start it and light it off, that sound never gets old.
A beauty!
Would love to connect with you, looking for sls 600 to buy
They are nice airplanes! If you have any questions feel free to ask
Very nice sound!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!
Very nice M600 😎👍
Personally I love that sort of stuff. However your video was too short. Like why even watch it. Nice content.
William James Cronan thanks man, I have the takeoff after that that I didn’t post and idk why I didn’t haha. We are starting to do those trips now, usually every week in the summer. I’ll get one out of the full startup and takeoff in the M600 and post it, going up there maybe this coming week. Thanks again!
Kevin didn't mean to offend you. I'm a 71 yr old Vietnam Vet. Did 2 tours to Danang as an Air Force aviator. If that's your airplane you made a great choice. Like a personal Airline. Plz enjoy it safely bill boston
how do you find the aircraft can you talk us through the operating cost, how many gallons per hour, maintenance, and what is the range fully loaded, I apreciate your time and answers
Marouane Benderradji on the M350 or M600?
@@kevinkauffman248Well both of them if that doesn't bother you it is great to have customer feedback because aircrafts doesn't have a lot of reviewers that judges performance and give real life numbers like cars or motorcycles do really apreciate responding me so fast
@@marouanebenderradji137 We will start with the M350, operating cost I don't really know that specifically, and then we would normally do around 23 to 23.5gph. Maintenance was all covered for 2 years with Muncie Aviation, where we picked the plane up from. So all of that was under warranty. Range with full fuel was around 1350nm I think, but the 4 of my fam, we couldn't hold full fuel (120 gallons). Since I didn't know operating cost, ill say that the M350 was a-lot lighter in actual weight, and in-flight. It was more nimble to whip around the traffic pattern, and when you took power out you don't have to trim until you get really low on the speed. It had 350hp, but the power didn't really seem like 350, it was very sow to climb even if you were down low, or up in the flight levels, About 600-800fpm. The M600 on the other hand is amazing, you have all the payload in the world that is available, You hold ton of fuel (260 gallons), and you can go almost 1700nm. The maintenance is all covered under warranty until like 2023 and then 2025 on the engine. We got this plane from Muncie Also, if you are considering getting any kind of plane, piston to turboprop, go to them. And then range like I said, almost 1700nm, You can level off at say FL250 for example, and the four of us and you can get basically to Turks and Caicos. And i don't really know operating cost on this either, ill say that the M600 is a-lot heavier in weight and when you take power out, you better be ready to use that trim, it drops like a brick if you don't trim or add power. Also the power (600 Shaft Horsepower) is there and ready for you to use, It is like a little rocket on the runway. When you are climbing, you can climb at 122kts (vy) or 145kts (Cruise Climb) and at 145 you will see grater than 1500fpm up until around FL200. Then at 122 you can see grater than 2000fpm all day. Last thing, The G3000 if you haven't flown anything with it, Is nothing short of amazing. All I do is play around with the touch screens when flying haha. I hope this answered your questions, If you have anymore feel free to ask!
Hi Kevin, short question. Why is the condition lever not full forward (at 2:03) since there is the RUN position?
Hello sir, This M600 is equipped with the new Woodward FCU which helps with the starting temperatures, Keeping the engine cooler on startup. The position that the condition lever is in now is the RUN position. Why it isn't all the way forward is because the full forward position is only for starting when the oil temp is at or less than 0 degrees C, and you hold it there until 50% ng, then let it back down to the RUN position. The RUN position has a detent that you put the condition lever into, the cold start position does not, its spring forced. Thanks for the question!!

It helps if you put the mixture to rich before you try starting it.
Pure Trouble we did with a hot start like that. Don’t have that bird now so don’t have to worry about that no more!
Watched you fly south over the Michigan/Ohio border today (6/23)on our way back from the drag races. Beautiful airplane! #Pt121DispatcherApproved
That was a guy that fly's for us, do you live around the toledo area? Glad that you could get to see it, Thanks for the sub also!!
