Awww..... too bad brother! I had both my arms and hands operated on this year. Back in March had my right carpal/cubital tunnel repaired, and in June pretty much recently, had the left one done. So I don't feel too bad for your hurt finger, but, I have a little sympathy, lol. I'm going to be out there real soon though, so look out for me, especially at doctor's lake. I'm going to get my stepson involved in fishing this year as well. A lot of our motivation came from you!

I've been wanting to say something to you on this video for a while now, but I've been sidetracked. I hope I'm commenting on the one that you had asked about. If this is the video where you asked about fish that are all the same size and a pond because of just so much food to go around for the fish to eat and grow. If this is that video. I have heard some things on this in the past, as well as very recently. There's another UA-camr who is from Texas. His channel goes by the name of Tyler's Reel Fishing. This guy is has to be just about probably one of the greatest new bass fisherman connoisseurs that are out currently. A pretty young guy, I would say mid-20s even. He is extremely skilled in the knowledge of bass fishing. Now although, I've heard about the exact same thing you asked, a lot of fish in a fishery, along with whatever bait fish or food happen to be in the body of water, might keep fish from getting any bigger then they can potentially get. Anyway Tyler, had a guest star on with him who was actually a real expert in it, and even had the credentials to go along with it. A big thing that was discussed is just exactly that what you had asked. He said that we live in a catch and release culture as far as fishing is concerned, and unfortunately, that just doesn't promote fish getting any bigger because of just keeping the same fish in the pond or other body of water. He said something about taking fish out, and eating them, or giving them away as people that need food, etc It was just something like, don't throw everything back always necessarily. Especially if you're seeing what you had been seeing . I had personally heard something like this in the past. I have recently been trying to do something, just like that myself, however, I've been just (If I have the time and there is a close body of water to where I am fishing currently), more or less transplanting fish from one pond to another just to see if there is any kind of a growth. I have noticed, by not fishing in some of those places for a while and coming back to check, that the fishing got better, but not necessarily bigger fish. So I'm not sure if it is a 100% true fact or not, it makes sense though. It might just need to take longer of a time, I'm not sure. But those are my two cents bro. Thanks for putting up with as long of an answer that I just gave. I really appreciate what you do, you're getting me into it more and more everyday! Thanks again! God bless!

@@danaparks8812 great comment thanks for the feedback! I've watched tons of people fishing in that pond and I'm with you I think the catch and release is actually hurting the growth.

@@dragemoutfishing1222 And if you don't already follow that guy I was telling you about, you should. It's: "TYLER'S REEL FISHING." Like I said, although he's considerably younger than us, (probably mid-20s), I'm pretty sure he was raised by his father who was a tournament bass fisherman, probably a professional, he just is super knowledgeable about bass fishing in general. He'll blow you away with some of the stuff that he knows. If you can find the podcast that he had with that gentleman which was recent, they talked about just that very subject of catch and release actually doing more harm than good for the growth. They also talked about how possibly fishing for spawning bass, hurts the bass and their natural order. I think I could believe that as well. Just saying, if you get a chance, try to look for that and check him out. You won't be disappointed.

What bait did you use to catch that little brim, and other than possibly using that little brim as the next piece of bait to catch that bass, then that is part two of the question, what kind of bait did you use for the bass? Was it the little brim. Everything else that you're doing is cool. I'm sure there are many people that would like to do that and they're seeing you do it and thinking that they might like to get out there and do the same thing. We appreciate that in you. You get us all psyched up! I would however like to just give you one small piece of advice. Slow down. Take a couple breathers here and there. I know you get nervous, and I know you get excited, but like I said, everything you do is just something that everyone would like to be doing themselves if they could be, and you're doing it!!!! I just think that you could probably take that whole 45 minutes of being out there, and turn it into more of a longer and more meaningful video then just one of that is 1 minute and 44 seconds long. Other than that, I'm digging it bro! Thanks for doing what you're doing! God bless!

    • @dragemoutfishing1222

I use Sara Lee honey wheat bread to catch the brim I have also caught catfish on it in that same pond. Then I put the Bream on a 2 ott hook to catch the bass. I always like to start with a new Pond of walking up seeing what fish I see. If I see brim and small bass I know there's probably big bass . So I start chumming with bread and look for the Dark Shadows of the larger Bass. That's what I like to catch a Bream put him on the bigger hook I just let him fight a little bit and those Predator Bass will pick off that vulnerable prey. Next thing you know you got a bass on. Sometimes in these high pressure city parks it's the only way to get them they've seen every lure in town Thanks for your comments.

@@dragemoutfishing1222 That's something I definitely need to try when I go bass fishing again or pond fishing in general. Lately I've been wanting to get out to just do some inshore stuff and catch something that would normally cost me an arm and a leg in a restaurant. No problem. Keep the videos coming, and like I said, slow down a little bit. Take your time. Try to put out a video that is at least 10 minutes long. Those minute and 45 second long ones might as well be considered shorts. Thanks again, God bless

Were you referring to a catfish that you had named Anna, or was that supposed to be and a...? You had also said something that I didn't understand. The sentence starts out: "That's what I like to catch a brown put him on the bigger hook I just let him fight a little bit in those predator pass will pick off the vulnerable prey. Obviously meant bass, not pass, but I'm still not understanding what you mean by to catch a brown. There were a few other things, but my phone won't let me scroll to it while I'm answering a comment here. I'll check it out after I finish this, and maybe end up asking a few other things in another comment. Just be ready for it.
