Terrific interview with a Hollywood legend. Never will forget O'Brien's vivid work in "St. Louis," specifically her very real hysteria in the snowmen scene, one of the most moving moments I've seen in a film.

Never heard of her

Born in 1984 in Poland, always thought and felt there is any other better place in the world to be born and grew up than Poland and Europe. Never thought about the America as a magical, promised land. But I was always very curious about many different cultures and countries. Back in the 80-90ties I of course did watch and even played the Dynasty (mainly as Alexis;), Beverly Hills, Dempsey and Makepeace( British television crime drama ), Jake and the Fatman and many many more, but I always loved ans somehow better understood the old classic movies- Polish, American , British, French comedies and Italian golden era films. From different times.I love Kieslowskis films and the Cabaret by Bob Fosse and They Shoot Horses, Don't They or Gone with the wind equally. And I have always believed that being open for other cultures and at the same loving my own, was possible because I was born in Poland. The country that is open and curious about the outside world and ideas, the country that is at the same time , full of so many creative people and artists offering a deeply Polish soul - rooted artistic expressions, made me a very open-minded and very curious person. I know very well my own culture and and yet the world has so many different colours to offer. Isnt it fantastic? And that combination is great for me, loving own culture and being very much open for anything that is valuable that comes from the other human achievements elsewhere. Ps. But all right, but I have to admit, I prefer Europe to live in:) Thanks for a nice audition!

Rick Correll is such a liar his father was a racist perpetuating minstrel show era black face racism on the radio from the 1920s -1960. The show was very popular because the USA is a very racist society. This clown says his father protected the characters, how typical of a racist from the 1950s. He cannot be truthful. The other person pretending to be African American was his fathers friend, a Jewish announcer. If that show had been about mocking Jews they would still be protesting that family and studio that backed these guys as antisemitic!!!!

Excellent point Wardell, the realization that it's a service. You can always do your experimenting but as a profession, you're being payed for a specific result. Early on I feel like most artist grapple with this reality. Eventually you learn to put your heart and best attempts forward into your art but take nothing personal, just adjust to what is desired. You can do both. Enjoy it, do your best but don't get so attached to your art that a critique crushes you and makes you disgruntled in your art career. Great Interview!

I like the fact that Richard Correll has been in the business this long, and that most baby boomers would remember him as "Richard Rickover" of "Leave it to Beaver", and then later became involved in production, with such family shows, like Happy Days, Full House, Step By Step, Family Matters, and then my favorite nostalgic shows, like That's So Raven, Phil of the Future, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody/On Deck, Hannah Montana, What I Like About You, and The Amanda Show. Yep, he's been in production for a lot of these shows, and without him, all of those shows wouldn't be what they were before, so Richard, I thank you, dearly.
