      @stevespencer5158 I did on some of them but on others I wanted them sticking out to give it more texture. I was also new using the CNC and was testing out different bits / cuts / processes.

    I hear alot of ppl complaining about leds hurting their eyes

    • @licklogacres
      @licklogacres 3 місяці тому

      I've heard that, from the frequency they give out. I usually keep half of them off unless actively using that area and need the light. Fluorescent cost more power, and maybe more bulb changes (led life doesn't seem to be as good as advertised though).

    At home I am replacing (thanks to you tube) by myself all my outlets(54) and switches(25), one GFI and one dimmer cause they are very old and it cost $65 to replace them each of them with an electrician. Haven't burnt the house down. Was feeling very accomplished till I came across this video. LOL

    • @licklogacres
      @licklogacres 3 місяці тому

      Swapping outlets is a pain lol. Not super hard until you come across a broken outlet box (hate when that happens) but you're doing better than 99% of people that don't even want to try much less getting it done! Yeah around here electricians want 70 to 100 an outlet. Just to run that one wire from the utility meter to the breaker panel (literally push wire through the wall) they charged me $2700 dollars. Would have done that part myself too but had to get a "licensed" signature for utility company to turn it on and permit office to sign it off.

      That is crazy!!! If we can study the situation and do it safely, why call someone else? You are way advanced than I am. I mean you are running this thing through walls! And I guess you might be right. Not many would venture to change a light switch 😜. One double switch is giving me a run for my money, but (grrr) I will figure it out!! Hope you make videos about how to change outlets, different type of dimmers and different light switches (single, gang with 2,3,4 connectors). That will truly help people like me! Having issues with this stupid dimmer and my kitchen 2 switch gang plate. I have 4 lights in the kitchen and 2 switches. One switch, per 2 lights. It’s turning on, just not the way it was. lol.

    load balance ?

    • @licklogacres
      @licklogacres 3 місяці тому

      200A service. At most I'll be running my HVAC (9A), Dust Collector (5 to 10A), CNC (15A), Air Filtration (5A), LED Lights (maybe 1 to 3A), Compressor (15A), and a saw of some type (13A being largest for table saw) so puts me at 70 to 80 A draw max, assuming camper is plugged in and running could add another 40A if both ACs are on so most it could ever push through that panel if I ran everything at same time is 120A and everything is separated out to different circuits.

      Not gonna lie, everything else was strapped properly lol. I had the replacement knockouts for the small 1/2 and 3/4 but didn't get one for the top, expected the electrician who ran the utility wire to use the same hole. I'll have to go back to the store to get one. Thanks for the call out.

    Hey. Sorry very random but been driving me crazy. Was driving my golf cart up a steep hill and it gave out on me. There was a burning smell when that happened. Been dead ever since. Do you think I killed the motor? Thanks in advance!

    • @licklogacres
      @licklogacres 6 місяців тому

      I'm not an expert but that's a difficult one to diagnose. Could be the motor, the controller, the batteries, the solenoid, or the wiring. So check the water levels in your batteries most need to be filled over time with distilled water just above the plates. Check voltage of the batteries. If you upgraded the controller/ motor did you make sure your cable thickness (AWG) was right, they often times need to be replaced especially if you changed the voltage output of the batteries. Next, a lot of controllers have an indication light on them. See if the light is on or use a multi meter to verify proper voltage is making it to the controller. Then with cart off no pedal pushed check the voltage going to the big primary terminals on the solenoid. Lot of people have detailed instructions on UA-cam. My guess is battery, solenoid, or controller. But could be wires or motor.
