Found an EPIC spot for a little Urban Crawling tonight! The Furitek Katana impresses right out of the box with brushless power and the counter-rotating drive shafts make a huge difference in reducing torque twist and body roll. My K10 Mini just got a whole lot cooler with some new upgrades, and I'm on a quest to turn it into the ultimate tow rig. I've bolted on some Traxxas wheels with brass rings and those BFG's with the white lettering are straight fire! The first full video of my personal basement mini course. I can't wait to get all the landscape done. The parts that are done look sooooo sweet in the low light. I have done quite a few mods to this little guy and basically what I've done is built an Ascent Fusion mini. Brushless, lots of brass and of course, wheels and tires. The ecto is a better truck in every way. The smaller zuul tires and ifs make minor difference. It's obviously not running stock motor and most likely different electronics.
@@eric9291 I'm not running stock tires or wheels obviously but who does? it's a straight axel Zuul and all the electronics were stock at the time I shot this video. Great comment dude

looks cool! but one point of critic; i don't see any real challenges. seems pretty easy to drive around your track. But besides that, the looks are awesome! Can't wait to see it finished!

I got the zuul with ifs2, with a few simple mods became one of my go to crawlers. Just want to add ssd brass hubs. Great video!

Is this an Ecto but with a different shell??
Pretty much an ecto but just marketed with the Zuul body. They also sell a version with the independent front suspension instead of the solid axel
@@bigskyrcguy So do all of the Element Enduro range use exactly the same parts apart from the shell?? I’m not keen on the IFS2 after watching so many videos on here, I don’t think it has many benefits (if any at all)

Any mods or are you running it stock? Did you swap the gears for the higher overdrive or stay with the lower ratio one?
I've done quite a few mods but haven't changed any gearing yet. Check out my review of the Zuul for a rundown of all the mods so far

Cool short video. So, just curious, are these Hotrods ideal for drag racing beside each other? And, if so, approximately how fast do they run out of the box? Any work on the revisions to the T-Rod body you mentioned you were going to be doing soon? Thank you for your time.
Thanks for the compliment! I feel they could be used to drag but with mods like tires especially. They're about 25-30 mph with the stock setup. I haven't gotten around to working on the other body yet. Right now is my busy season for work and I'm swamped. I will post as soon as I start the process. Thanks for your watching!

@@bigskyrcguy my slash has the stock bl2s system, I’m not new to the hobby by any means but I’m trying to keep it relatively stock to stay competitive with some buddies, I hate the response time on the traxxas esc’s lol

I'm a traxxas trx 4 guy myself- the crawlers are the only rigs I seem to "cheat" on I live my traxxas's! Anyway point is I've been waiting for someone to say EXACTLY what ya said- I've been looking at these elements which are more my price range that new Redcat really has my eye as well I saw a video on UA-cam a little while ago talking about the Vanquish which is or was the one I really wanted to save up for however from what I'm understanding they're not all they're cracked up to be. Keep up the good work!

Doing all those upgrades why didn’t you just buy the brushed version then? Outside of the motor/esc what else is different from the bl2s vs the brushed version.

@@bigskyrcguy I was honestly wondering if there was some other big difference that would have pulled you that direction that I wasn’t aware of. I kinda did the same thing and bought an RB10 which I’ll need to change a lot to run at the track out here.

Yo dude! The Ax24 seems like a decent look just looking at it and how twisty it is... well.. its not at all. Ive had mine for about 9months now and done so many things to try to make it decent at crawling and climbing. First thing I did was get brass wheels to keep the weight as wide and low as possible, then a 66t motor for extra power but it just kept rolling. Then I dropped where the top of the shocks mount and melted the back body mount thingy so it wouldnt hit the servo. Then after all that I chopped out the battery tray and dropped its guts by nearly an inch inside it to get better LCG. Got a Gens Ace Adventure 400mah 2s battery to drop it even more from that stock one. Tried a Furitek Stinger combo made just for the AX24 and it didnt work out at all, had rubbing issues and what not. Chopped the sliderails and got rid of the lights as the tires were always rubbing and getting stuck on that, trimmed the body as well. Then... Then.. I got the Kangraoo Chassis from Injora. Got a ton more parts for it and now the thing is a Kanga-Ax and its unreal what its become, best rig Ive even seen and ran. The climbs this thing can do now is truly insane. As of posting this there are only 3 stock parts left in the thing, the 2 axles and the receiver. Other then that Ive fliped out everything on it to get it to perform at the max. Anyways, goodluck with the upgrades and mods to make it kickazz!
