Supporting Girls in Sports (SGIS) is proud to announce the launch of two new Public Service Announcements (PSAs) as part of our 'Get Girls Playing' program. These PSAs were conceptualized by our content strategist in collaboration with Narmi Films and feature young female athletes from Saint Lucia, many of whom play for their national teams.
These announcements aim to inspire and motivate young girls to get involved in sports, showcasing the benefits and opportunities sports participation can provide.
The 'Get Girls Playing' program is geared towards boosting the number of women and girls involved in sports as players, officials, coaches, and administrators. Despite a rise in the number of women in administrative roles, the number of women and girls who play, coach, or officiate is on the decline. To address this issue, our campaign will focus on grassroots-level engagement through a variety of activities targeting key demographics.

Netball has played a significant role in promoting women's empowerment in Saint Lucia, providing opportunities for girls and women to engage in sports, build confidence, and develop leadership skills.
