Lovely video, the scenery is stunning and the music so relaxing! Also I want to thank you for uploading both series of A Place In Greece. The quality of these uploads is fantastic and I often notice a few small extra scenes in the episodes which is fantastic! I watch them over and over - something about those 4 people captivates me! RIP Brian and Pete but they live on thanks to these videos.
Thanks for the great comments! 🙏🏻❤ I love doing the Lindos walks. Back out there in October, so hopefully I should be able to find the time to have a good walk around / put something together. I've always meant to look through the A Place in Greece DVDs I had and see if I could get them on UA-cam. It was a pleasure spending the time going through them and putting all the uploads together. Amazed they didn't get hit by a copyright strike. So sad we've lost both Brian and Pete. Hopefully their memory lives on in those taking joy out of watching the series again. Quite sure like yourself I'll no doubt be watching them once again in the very near future! ☺
Hi Paul, just dropping a line to thank you for uploading all the episodes of A Place in Greece and your Lindos videos. Great stuff. Many thanks David 😊😊
No worries. The old A Place In Greece episodes were a joy to go back through and rewatch / put together. Looking forward to hopefully filming a new Lindos video later in the year. Miss that place! 🇬🇷 ❤️
@@paulscarth Just an anecdote, when I was backpacking in Crete in 1972, there was a night time open air cinema near or on the beach in Iraklion and saw The Andromeda Strain under the stars!!! 🤗
That’s a really old video. Think it was me testing out an old camera. The roads aren’t too bad here. A few crazy drivers, but probably not as bad as the Philippines 🙈😁 I really need to get out and do another Greece video. I’d love to interview some of the locals, but it’s finding the time / structuring the questions etc. Glad you like them 😊
@@paulscarth yes you should also update your channel, that's my dream country Greece. Yes road here is scary with the untrained drivers. Next visit here in Philippines, you can interview me.🤔😂😂 About farming haha 😂
Hope you read also these comment but if you go back to lindos again can you go to the local school in lindos if you dont know where its located just ask people that work at stores or restaurants.
Think I recall where the school was. Not too sure about filming there though, might get locked up by the police. 🙂 If I'm out there during the quiet season I might see if I can arrange to take my camera in / have a quick tour. Will depend on how busy they are / what parts are open/off-limits etc.

Hey Mateo, Many thanks for your support. Fantastic to hear you like the videos, especially knowing you lived there. If you’ve not seen it already take a look at my latest trip - ua-cam.com/video/KNmF1T0sNI4/v-deo.html Would love to get back out there in 2023 but not too sure yet. I often quickly film a walk around. It would be nice to really sit down and plan out a full walk around the village, highlight some businesses and maybe talk to some locals. It’s all in the planning. Have a great 2023 and thanks again for your support 👍🏻😁
Thank you for this wonderful walk down memory lane. I've had about 20 holidays in Lindos since 1976, but the quietest ones were in April and October. Looks lovely in March though without the hordes of tourists.
Although I’ve only been a handful of time, I never get tired of going back. There’s just something about Lindos and the people that draws you back for more. Every time I go I have an idea of filming done fabulous sequence around the village. Never quite works out as I imagine though. Guess it’s an excuse to keep going back 😁 I’d love to go around the village and interview some of the characters the place has to offer. Just needs a bit of planning and propped preparation, something I’m not known for 🙈😁
I was in Rhodes many years ago when I taught at the Voice of America Shortwave Station (the station is no longer active). I walked all the way up to the Acropolis where I saw this ship carved in the rock and these massive pillars. I wondered how the pillars and the rock slabs across them of such size got up there. Wondrous! Beautiful view from up there. My Greek friends took me to a small Greek village there and the people were so welcoming and kind to me. I had such a good time. I spent many weeks in Kavala and Thassos, too. Greece is incredibly beautiful. This brought back fond memories. Thanks! 🙏
If it's your first time I'm quite sure you'll love it. Lindos has something for everybody - from posh dining experiences, various bars, to every day shops, takeaways etc.

A lovely walk through of this beautiful place. I was lucky that I first spent time here in 1975/1976 when there were hardly any tourists and as kids we had free run of the nearly empty streets, and collecting hand burning bread from the bakery at 06.00. Happy days. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching / taking the time to comment. Lindos is such a beautiful place that just draws you back year after year. I’d not discovered the island / village until the early 2000’s but it still draws me back whenever I get the chance.
