    Is the smaller the MOA means the more accurate it is?

    • @brandonwatsonmedia
      @brandonwatsonmedia 20 днів тому

      A short answer would be, yes, sort of/maybe. First off, with any red/green dot sight, you are going to zero it in at a preferred distance. From there, yes, a smaller reticle (like a 3 MOA) is a tiny dot that can allow you to really zero in your shots to a specific spot. This can be super great for target shooting. However, with respect to accuracy for defensive purposes with a pistol, accuracy may mean having the ability to quickly put rounds on a target reliably when you draw your firearm. In that case, having a larger reticle (like a 6 to 32 MOA) could help you acquire your target a lot faster.

    What's important is defend the honor, integrity and wisdom of J. R. R. Tolkien. This show is a greedy cash grab and an insult. This is why we object. This is why we object every point, and why you can't respond to any of the obvious criticisms of this show. Sauron and Galadriel? Are you kidding me? Does your son like that? Or how about Elrond kissing Galadriel? Why are you even showing him this perverted nonsense to him? Galadriel just jumping off a cliff because the writers can't write? The only way anyone can like this show is if they are not paying attention. They are watching their phones. They are washing the dishes. They are talking. It's deplorable!

    If you pronounce "Tolkien" as "Toll King," your perspective is immediately worth much less. Amazon has no love for Tolkien and his work, which shines through clear as day. Why not inspire the future generations with, ya know... Something _good_ that respects Tolkien's life work? Like, for example, the LOTR trilogy? How on earth does Amazon's slop "inspire" the next generation in a way that the LOTR trilogy doesn't? It holds up to this day as a cinematic masterpiece and they had a genuine respect for Tolkien that is self-evident throughout its entirety. That is _truly_ inspirational. To describe the desecration of Tolkien's work is as "inspirational" just because some young kid with no taste might think it's okay is laughable. It's crap whether or not some kids like it.

      Ok, so tell a kid, “You can only watch these 3 movies, you can read the hobbit, and if you can understand it, you can read the LOTR and The Silmarillion. If you are now inspired by Tolkien, you check back with me and I will approve any further material I deem worthy, but know that probably ain’t gonna happen.” Got it.

    But the world of JRRT is perfect. The problems occur when it’s changed to suit the new show runner’s politics. I’d prefer them to make their own world rather than changing Tolkien’s. I think your idea would work if the new adaption wasn’t quite done right. In that case I’d agree that it would still be ok that kids get to experience the world. The problem is that it is flat out wrong!

    When I watched it the first time I didn't like it, but I think my expectations were so ridiculously high because of the movies. When I watched it again with my girlfriend, I felt totally different. She loved it and so did I. We just finished season 2 and although there are a couple things I didn't like, overall I though it was incredible. In particular the visuals of the show are stellar. I would go as far as to say the best orc designs of all including the movies. I think the show is great and really hope they continue on regardless of all the negative reviewers. Honestly, I think the majority of the people talking poorly about the show haven't even given it a chance. There is a growing trend at the moment of people simply loving being part of a community that collectively hates on tv and movies. Don't get me wrong tho, there is plenty of bad shows out there right now and since covid there has been a real decline in quality tv and cinema, but people are so quick to judge things now and with the growing brain rot from social media, people don't have the attention spans to really enjoy quality writing anymore. House of the dragon latest season was a masterpiece, yet people complained about it being boring... Like... it was anything but boring.

      @@brandonwatsonmedia I agree. But a tiniest exposure to a poorly realized part of the world discourages further exploration. As an author/showrunner/director you cannot rely on wiewers to overlook or to not notice the flaws of your work. The only thing you can do is to make your work as perfect as possible to eliminate as much of that friction as possible. PJ monopolized Tolkien for over 20 years with his one-sided adaptation. It is a great relief that we have the new adaptation that does so many things differently, and does some things much better. So, we have double profit: 1. we have beautiful things about Tolkien universe that Amazon did well and that PJ ignored in his action movies. 2. We can finally separate LotR from any movie adaptation. For example, I just love that we have two different Elronds. This protects Tolkien's legacy in many ways and leaves the door open for new discoveries. From the downside, both adaptations lack the basic elements that we can see in almost any war movie, or horror movie, and that were present in the book. PJ's film is ruined with a videogame feel, and RoP creators are lacking some very basic skills... Yet, I find RoP highly rewatchable, which I find hard to say about the trilogy.

      I respect your opinion, and I’d agree the LOTR films were a one sided adaptation. However, that side was that of Tolkien! I’ve recently rewatched the trilogy on DVD and I’m surprised you would describe the films video game like. Apart from some limited CGI, the films are very real looking. The attention to detail on the sets and costumes is second to none. There is a very high proportion of real location shots too. The films are simply stunning. The only negative for me would be Legolas surfing down the steps at Helms Deep. When it comes to The Hobbit movies I’m with you 100%. They are definitely like video games and all the worse for it. Apparently, ROP has cost almost double the cost of the PJ LORT movies (adjusting for inflation). Yet in my opinion ROP is a far inferior production.

    • @pavellimarenko4494
      @pavellimarenko4494 Місяць тому

      @@ChrisTowlson Thank you for sharing! I have mixed feelings towards PJ's work. What I mean by videogames is a specific kind of straightforward narrative when you show an intro cinematic, and then guide the player from one location to another, using straightforward means to convey the story, like in Skyrim. You don't see cinema language being used much. For a good fantasy action film, I'd at least appreciate a solid use of techniques used in good war movies and horror movies. For a Tolkien adaptation, I'd also appreciate a faithful representation of locations and nature. There are so many nuances to the book... the late-autumn hike leaving the Shire, when you wake up and it's cold, the passing of time, the description of the first encounter with the elves... magic! I'd like to have some of that put to screen by a master director. I'm not even asking to make the philosophy right, etc. One example: take a look at how Galadriel's gifts are shown: a bottle and a bread. Where's the wow in that? That doesn't necessarily take additional screen time. Yes, RoP in many cases just looks unprofessional. But they tried to put some magic in it, and sometimes it works.

      I just went to Home Depot today and they did not have it, they can order it, but I could just ordered it from Amazon and get it quicker. I just hope it isn't a counterfeit one. Home Depot and Lowes had their on HOUSE branded ones. Though they're probably okay, if it was for any other application, I would just go with it, but in this case, I'll stick to southwire.

      @@Snafu2346 Yeah, that’s why I put that Amazon link in the description. And because the price is sometimes cheaper. 👍

      Great question and Yes! When you mount the Holosun He508T-Gr-X2 directly to the slide, the stock fiber optic sights are still visible and usable.

    I just purchased a used 2023 CRF125FB,this thing still looks brand new,still has the tits on the tires and the painted stripes, not a scratch on it,question,it shifts strange,from 1st to second gear has a weird clunk,from 2nd to 3rd not so bad but still there,and from 3rd to 4th still there but much quieter,is this normal for this bike ? I have watched youtube videos on this bike and I do hear the noise on some of them,how is yours ? Thanks for the great video

    • @brandonwatsonmedia
      @brandonwatsonmedia 3 місяці тому

      So I do know what you are talking about. To me, the hard shift is something I’m just probably used to from owning lower cc Honda dirt bikes, but I am aware of it. I think one of the things that makes the 125F models so nice are that they are geared so low (especially for first gear) that you can basically just slowly let out the clutch with no throttle and it will just chug along. And though this is great for slow trail riding and for beginners, I wonder if the incredibly low gear ratio doesn’t add to the hard shifting in the low gears. But I will say that these bikes are so bulletproof, that the transmission can take just about anything. With that said, I would strongly recommend that if the oil has not been changed from its initial break in period, I would absolutely do that! It never hurts to verify those levels as well on a new-ish bike. Additionally, I would also verify that your chain tension is at that expected amount of play. I hope this helps - thank you for watching!

    When I was traveling to and through all the lower 48 in 2021 and pulling a Camp trailer, I would charge at each camp site using the 50A power stand in the campsite. Sometimes the mobile charging cord wasn't quite long enough to reach the car, so I made an extension cord. I made it with 6 gauge 3 conductor wire with ground and 1450 male and female ends. In the 6 months on the road and charging every night with this set up, I never experience any over heating issues. Even now, I utilize it all the time at home as the mobile. charger is just to far away to plug in. I'm going on 4 years with this set up without any issue and charge at 24A all the time

    The price for this extension cord has gone down a little bit. I’m seeing them for around $59 on Amazon: amzn.to/3WQ2lS0 I also have a video that covers EV charging basics and charging cost estimates.
