    Thanks for this intense lesson on hip control, what it is and how to apply. It's easier with learning concepts than single moves. With the concept the moves come (more or less) automatically bc they are about what the concept requires.

    Hello, Thanks a lot for your videos its amazing and I really feel its connected to the Rickson's system. I have a question. Coud you post a video wich could answer this question: how to deal with a standing opponent who has two grips on your collars and who puch you ( in addition the opponent is bent as a wrestler and has his legs and hips far away) ? Thanks a lot from France

      Yes we want to be on our toes so we are pointing in the direction of the throw and our weight is distributed accordingly.

    I can’t recall getting rolled from this position recently but I’ll play with this. It strikes me that I may have been doing this already. This is Super chill right? When I worked with Henry on this a detail that emerged is he pointed the far side elbow till the tricep was very nearly parallel to the ground. I was unable to put my hand in front of his face

    • @Burybjj
      @Burybjj Рік тому

      Yes you showed me that gold! I don’t get rolled much from there either but personally, I’ve not been high enough. We’ve all started going higher and it’s grotesque. Nobody is getting rolled either. People weren’t going to this in class for fear of being rolled. We let them fail a few times so they can feel what they fear. Then we get them to gently start that side crunch and light bulbs go off

  • @joshsd7767
    @joshsd7767 Рік тому

    Getting rolled was the reason I didn't go to this position much. The crunch makes it feel so much more stable 🎉

    • @Burybjj
      @Burybjj Рік тому

      Yes agreed. Plus even if they do begin to lift you, if you side crunch and then sprawl, you sprawl is that much more effective that you end up belly flopping on their chest / head which is gruesome for them
