I feel like he didn’t go off about it more because they were just gonna invalidate his feelings or make him feel like he’s crazy or dramatic like they always do.

In the end, I think JJ and Kiara will be just friends because, let's be real. Does Kiara seem like the type who wants to be tied down? At least, that's the way her character has been written thus far. Just as the writers tested the water with Kiara and Pope, I see them going in that direction with her and JJ, unless his character arc is shaped to be that of her father's, who was born a Pogue, but remembers where he came from. Anyhow, I'm excited to return to Poguelandia later this year for the Blackbeard Treasure.

@@kenstu I hope that’s the direction the show goes, but based on what the creators have said in interviews, the pressure that shippers have put on the writers since s1, and how JJ + kiara’s screen time was increasing in s3, I really doubt it 😭 I think it’s out of character for her to get with JJ, because like you said, she is not the type that wants to be tied down. But I think that’s not what the writers are gonna do. Nevertheless, I’m also excited for their Blackburn adventures !

@@apinchofdisappointmentI don’t think it’s only due to fans constant support of the ship, the writers themselves seem to like JJ and Kiara too. Even the actors hinted a lot at it in previous seasons. I personally love JJ and Kiara. I didn’t see it coming in season 1, but season 2 did more than enough to certainly “imply” something between them.
