Fishing, camping, and boating out of Morehead City NC. We frequent the Cape Lookout area up and down the outer banks in a Yamaha FSH 190 Sport center console boat. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook @reelcarolinafishing for live updates. We pick our days, though only on a 19 ft boat, we get out 30 miles somedays.
Beaching - Shelling - Boating - Cape Lookout and Shark Island North Carolina
We took a boat ride down to Cape Lookout National Seashore and did a little shelling on a gorgeous summer day. We hit up shark island and Cape Lookout's lighthouse.

Found some stable weather and a calm day to take the Yamaha FSH 190 Sport offshore fishing to the gulf stream. We landed a couple big Mahi and threw a few smalls in the cooler trolling ballyhoo. Was a gorgeous sunny day.

Fishing offshore in a 19' boat trolling and then bottom fishing. We found a few mahi, triggers, and a tuna after running into a weed line heading out. We buddy boated out and both boats got on the fish.

A solo Memorial Day trip to Beaufort NC for an evening on the water. Got to see the wild horses on carrot island and slept on the boat that night. The next morning I picked up a friend at the ramp and we set course for Cape Lookout. Spanish Mackerel were not hard to find and we limited out with 30 fish. We picked a calm day and headed out 30 miles to a temp break and found some mahi. We got a late start with a flat tire on the way to the ramp, but we salvaged the day and landed a few.

We traveled to Fort Rucker Alabama in search of pigs, bucks, and a good time. We found all three. Brought home some fresh healthy meat and met a few new friends along the way.

Aboard a 19' Yamaha FSH 190 Sport we hit the Pamlico Sound in search of Big Red Drum during their annual migration and find a few Monsters! Blue fish and Rays also were plentiful.

Quick video of an archery hunt filmed using multiple Go Pros. This hunt was from the second week of November's Archery Season 2019. Hit was back as you can see up close in slow motion. He still only went about 100 yards. Rage did the Job.

I live 1.5 miles out from ft rucker. those deer in the cooler is typical of what we see here, the hogs too. Love hunting flooded timber. This last year we heard a lot of coyotes in the area, hoping we get a chance to bag a few of them!

Atlas tanker is a good hike away from beaufort inlet. Especially in a tiny boat. I imagine you cut across lookout shoals and dont go all the way around the 14 bouy. If you've got the balls and skill you can trailer your boat to Atlantic and go out of ophelia inlet to get to the atlas wreck. It's a lot faster.
Yep that's the plan more this year! Hit Ophelia inlet now that's its really opened up. We cut the shoals probably 100 times a year and fish AR- 285 area. Really never run under 10' water in them. They are nothing like they used to be. Definitely a hike! I like where your heads at! Ha
@@reelcarolinafishing7413 that's awesome. I just got a new boat, well new to me and I'm kind of scared to go out of ophelia by myself. I know inside the sound really good but I havent been out of ophelia in a while so I'm sure its changed some after the storms and all. I need to find someone going out and follow them to I can lay a track down on my chart plotter. Atlas is a great spot to fish though. And usually pretty quiet. Maybe this summer we can meet up and run out there sometime
@@headhunter306 nice! We are planning too head out Ophelia in the next month and then more and more this spring. Rumor is the storms opened it up some and it's more navigable. Def hit us up this spring when we start hitting it hard and tag along. Where you located?
@@reelcarolinafishing7413 I've heard the same too but I really dont want to try it alone just incase. In my old boat which was just a 18 ft flat bottom skiff I almost got in a jam trying to scope it out after I ran aground when the tide was ripping through there. And I live right in Beaufort. I'll definitely get up with you next month. Im really looking forward to this spring and summer and getting back out on the water. I'm going to be going out everyday the weather allows. This week I'm going to be working on my boat, might even take it out to burn some of the old gas that's in it out. I dont like it sitting in there for 4 or 5 months. You should give me your email or something so I can get ahold of you.
This looks like so much fun! I recently got stationed here and would kill to go do some fishing like that!
