Incredible
More likely it sounds like an toccata.
Jamiroquai at the end
😎
Sounds very much like L. 87 - 2. Souvenir du Louvre
🥰💐
Really beautiful playing 🎶😁
Amazing and super interesting final cadence: C9 - Em7 - Am (III9¹ - v7 - i) ¹ aka "V9/VI"
Bach sounds too good on the piano.
Anyone here because of Niall O'F?
How do you play many notes 📝 n both hands without sounding too harsh, I try to play them softly but still, it sound harsh🙀- any tips is much appreciated 😍
Try to practise them slow with arm weight and slow attack. Long lines-phrases help too. Very best wishes🍀
Wowo😂😂😂
Wow i thought the artist was a very popular concert pianist and searched for her on Google. Beautiful shading I guess.
Thanks for posting
Yes, just practise it really well, in small sections, slow and chords with stability but relaxed wrist.Good luck!
the sound of a Bösendorfer seems a bit of the sound of the harpsichord c.g.
Very mature use of the whole tone scale debussy
Yes, it is Debussy and not Satie.
Wow this is fantastic.
I’ve used Durand edition. Best wishes, Sasa
Beautiful performance. Ms. Donaldson, which edition and which version of the piece are you using? I believe Debussy edited (even partially rewrote) it for republication. I'm working with a Peters edition # 31978 that's somewhat different from yours (and my edition contains some distressing typos as well). However, I don't imagine I should go back to the terrible 1960s Kalmus edition that I first learnt the piece from.
I’ve used Durand edition. Best wishes, Sasa
Edward Van Halen’s live solo from 1986 brought me here.
This is Debussy at his finest. I’m not a huge fan of his speedier numbers except “Dr. Gradus ad Parnassus, etc.” from his suite bergamasque. But when Debussy employs all those wonderfully rich chords and the player allows the sonority of these chords to ring out it sounds like the most beautiful church bells tolling. Gorgeous.
Beautiful comment. I am curious, what is the name of the painting or drawing in your profile picture ?
@@JM-ko8qs why thank you! My profile pic is my painting of an eye which my sister helped me name “Shen”. I’m not entirely sure what it means or where she got it, but it has something to do with her acupuncture work and Chinese herbology. Sry I can’t be of more help but yea it’s my painting. Thanks for noticing!
@@CarlBowlby Thanks for responding - I found the story behind the title to be very interesting. The eye captivated me ever since I saw it, so it's cool to know that you painted it yourself:')
By Eric Satie, not by Debussy.
Some of it sounds likes Satie as he was an influence on Debussy but no this is definitely Debussy
The tetrachords, though. Sounds like a signal to turn the page. :)

,..................................................,.
The piece feels Liszt like.
Scriabin at 0:52 for me
This is my orchestration of this piece, hope you can sub and like :) ua-cam.com/video/f4qgDy0Cd_E/v-deo.html
3:29 the most dramatic ending chord in piano history.
Spiritosa amorosa e giocosa! Such generous inspiration!!!! ❤️
Brava!
Exquisite rendition of an exquisite piece of a genius! I m glad I m listening at the eve of St Valentines day : I can imagine Clara playing for her beloved husband inwardly expecting approbation and rewarded by a tender kiss and blessed with another child (I think they had 8 all in all!!!!). Lovely, sweet and so clever. Many many thanks!
This was a preloaded demo on a MIDI program called Music Doodle Pad I had as a child, but tempo was set to play much faster.. recommend increasing the speed just for a try.. this version would need to be roughly doubled, maybe even more
amazing !
wow
What do you imagine when you hear 1:45?
Trying to accept the pain of an agonizing reality.
VonSmore interesting 🤔🤔
Wonderful played
