It's a French TV show where profits go to childrens in hospitals in France. And different operations have been organized for years. The performances of Lisa (last year) and Blackpink (the year before) at the same gala are interesting to see. As with Rosé this year, the artists are accompanied by a symphony orchestra to mix pop and classical. So I want your feedback on the other years with Lisa and Blackpink :) (Just search for "Lisa gala des pièces jaunes" and the same for Blackpink (2 vidéos)) FYI: there were technical problems at the beginning of the song "Toxic", so they cut the beginning on the TV version after her "bonjour Paris".

When you get a chance, you should watch Lisa's headlining performance from this same Gala last year. As always she brought the heat. Even better is Blackpink's performance at the Gala in 2023 where they performed "Shut Down" with a renowned classical violinist and also did "Pink Venom" with a whole ass orchestra. It was pretty awesome. As for Rosé's skateboarding connection, she is a skater herself. She has talked about learning to skateboard in several interviews. She wanted to learn and so she did.

I was surprised how during last song she goes right down to the people like that. pretty brave for someone as famous as she is. but i guess they have done extensive screening there. But can you imagine those fans, having a memory they will never forget.

In Japan at GMO Sonic an EDM/Dance festival a few days later in front of 37k she performed 3am, vampirehollie, 2 years, toxic till the end, drinks or coffee, and of course Apt to finish. There were Japanese people on X saying that Rosé's performance alone made the ticket price worth it. there were number ones there one live streamed it for us and she said it was crazy to see all these Japanese people singing along to Apt in English. It was actually even better than Paris which is crazy. We're still waiting for the official upload it sounds like GMO is really slow so we might be looking at weeks before it's uploaded, but if you want her fansite Récord who has over 643k subs has a great cam she was the one that recorded the icon Rosé Kill This Love cam that was even featured on Korean TV News and it goes viral every year during Coachella even when she's not there. we've seen her film Rosé at the airport and sercutiry let's her get pretty close and they just talk, we've even seen other Blackpink members talk to her so they all know her as Rosé's fansite and Rosé loves her. you can see in her fancam from Coachella 2019 Rosé spots Réc in the crowd and points smiling she looked so happy to see her there she's from Korea but she flies all over the world to support Rosé. so you could check out her cam it's actually really good quality Rosé has rich fans and Récord's entire channels is dedicated to Rosé fancams even airport footage. this is the title of her video - 250126 ROSÉ 로제 - toxic till the end / 3am / vampirehollie / two years / drinks or coffee / APT. or just put Récord into youtube search her site will come up at the top her channel has a lot of really great Rosé cams.

Lang Lang was gagged, after the performance all the performers were on stage and he went over and greeted Rosé smiling and they exchanged a few word we couldnt' hear but he looked really happy. backstage after the show they took a pic and they both had big smiles and Lang Lang was giving a thumbs up. he's a classical pianst on of the best of his era so when someone like him is impressed and a fan you know she's just that good. I though it was just an honar for her to perform with him because of his status, but it clearly was mutual.

back in 2022 Rosé started to upload pics and video of herself skateboarding later in a interview she explained further When I’m not doing anything, I get ideas in my head out of the blue. It cracks me up to this day to think about the skateboard thing, too. I was in bed when I started imagining myself on a skateboard. I got right out of bed and decided I’m going to try learning. There’s a bit of luck involved, too. It would have been difficult to get up and have a go at it if I wasn’t lucky enough to have the resources right there. Rosé’s band music director is also a member & music director for the "Dirty Thirty Band," which happens to be one of the house bands for "The Pinky Ring." And y’all know who owns that club, right? Yep, Bruno Mars. So that’s why Bruno personally called him to accompany Rosé for her solo festivals🤧 this band performed with Rosé in Paris, BBC1, Jimmy Fallon, and in Japan and it's sounding like their might be some more performances down the line. Man, Bruno really takes his role as Rosé’s big bro and mentor in the music industry seriously. No wonder she admires him so much

Gala des Pieces Jaunes is a big public fundraiser for children's healthcare in France, chaired by the President's wife. Because of BLACKPINK'S popularity in France and all their ties to the big French fashion houses, they got invited a few years ago to the President's house for photos, etc. Then the President's wife asked them to headline the Gala three years ago, which they did and it had a huge impact. The last year, Lisa headlined. Before this year, they were in a smaller venue. This year they want for broke and invited a larger set of KPOP stars and Katy Perry, plus a number of French stars as usual, plus John Legend, and J Balvin so a big deal. So this year Rose appeared, but also J-Hope from BTS, plus G-Dragon and Taeyang from Big Bang. So they sold out the arena in minutes.... Anyway, BLACKPINK has had presence each year... if you go back and see Lisa and BLACKPINK'S performances, they are awesome too.

I think that my best rule for interpreting a lot of i-dle's songs - and this song is no exception - is that is you have picked up one message from it, you have probably missed something. Like "Nxde" has at least 4 or 5 levels of meaning imo. I do agree with your take on this song. I think there is commentary on the media's portrayal of her, plus I think she is showing that conflict of wanting to be cute and playful while also being seen as chic and classy. I think it took me a listen or two to realise that several lines can be taken to mean multiple things - "you won't won't get her" for example could be "she's out of your league" or "she's too complex for you to understand". Oh, if you are thinking of diving into their group work at some point, they do have a couple of songs that go together. The song "Allergy" should ideally be watched before "Queencard" (their most successful song to date). Soyeon wrote "Allergy" from her own life experience and took inspiration for "Queencard" from group member Yuqi.

Absolutely check them, but always pick live, the pia arena shows are epic, very different, if you are not amazed by crowd enthusiasm and su,s vocals i will eat my aespa and babymetal blur rays lol, seriously though, even if you don't react then for your own personal enjoyment, watch monochrome, road of resistance and megitsune at pia, you will get hooked and watch more, love your reactions, keep the great show 😊

For the group projects, the group leader, Soyeon is involved in everything down to nail design, and I know the others feed into it, so I wouldn't put it past Minnie being involved in nail and costume design
