How to Apply Authentic Venetian Plaster | Marmorino Berlina (Smooth)
This video will teach you two basic applications using the same smooth Venetian Plaster. Venetian Plaster has almost endless possibilities which are limited only by the imagination of its applicator.
Marmorino Berlina is a smooth Venetian Plaster that can either be burnished to create a sheen or lightly compressed to create a smooth finish that absorbs light. This versatile product is applied in a 2 coat process built on top of a base coat of Microprimer to create proper adhesion. By following the steps in this video, and practicing on small sample boards, you will be well on your way to becoming a Venetian Plaster artist.

Thank you
What's the difference between Berlina & Piatto? Would this work on a range hood as well?
it looks like crap
If we skip the third coat and burnish the Venetian plaster on the second coat, we end up with visible imperfections, cracks, particularly in the corners and some pils off in he middle. Could you please help me fix it? Can I sand it? Prime it and do it again? Or now I have to scrape it and start over?
What is a good way to estimate 80% moisture?
Wanted to ask do I have to sand before applying wax or don’t need to sand
I sand it 😢 but crate lots of. Scratches
Use a softer grade paper
Thank you
I do this and even i have learnt something from your videos! Top man 👍
Very confusing to me at the end, which one is rougher and which one is smoother?
Hello, could you please make a video with a darker color of this product ( PIATTO) thanks
what boards are the best to use? Blueboard or Mdf
Can you burninf the second coat? How long do you wait to burnish ? Thanks.
Nice work Ron
Sorry if I missed it but how long after applying the first layer should you apply the second layer? How do we know when the layers are “in love”? 😍
How long have you waited between coats? I see it its pretty quick
👏
great look so you burn 2 hand when its still wet
I bought some of this product and I've experienced some peeling while applying the 2nd and 3rd coat. I usually wait until I see is dry but apparently I should wait overnight?
Awesome work!
❤❤❤👍
Hello ronald do I have to sand the micro primer before aplicación of grasello
I always paint a base coat the same color as the plaster .
me to .. why not ...
If the wall it’s already with paint do you still needs the primer
I have the same question.....
Help! I'm a halfwit hipster!
Ron, if you are a beginner, would you recommend using grassello or modern Masters Venetian plaster? I’ve used MM product, grassello seems like a timing thing when it comes to burnishing.
Yo e trabajado modern masters y no sirve
Do you use wax ?
I'll use gold wax
Whats those colours materials for beginners
Can I use grassello for an exterior application?
Love this stuff. Don't ever get rid of it
Skilful and controlled - great finish too
Deberían contratarme para hacerles publicidad..
Is it just me or do you go from dry to wet on the second coat?
I swear he went from dry to wet every coat
You are amazing. Seen you on past videos... I appreciate your calm and direct explanation. 25 year painter. Just started
Happy to see you Ron for Firmolux i will order a few gallons this week 👍
Unfortunately I can’t see the texture on the video even on the few zoomed in shots. I appreciate the tutorial. I am waiting on my order but after watching this video am worried because I thought it was suppose to be more textured. I would absolutely love to see a close up picture!
Hey Ron. Good to see your still doing your thing. I didn't even know you had started another Channel. Anyway. Good stuff. Please do some Grassello. High gloss with+ without veins 🙏🙏🙏🙏. I have trouble with burnishing timing. And what's the best way to do veins. 🖐️ From the UK 👊👊👊💪👏🔥🔥🔥🙏
