    - **Understanding the Mind & Autonomic Nervous System**: - **Relaxed vs. Stressed States**: When relaxed, we feel in control, but stress alters our ability to think rationally; this is part of the **human experience**. - **Autonomic Nervous System**: Governs alertness levels, covering **fight or flight** and **rest and digest** responses. It's a seesaw from extreme alertness to near-sleep states. - **Runaway Train of Thoughts**: When highly stressed or sleepy, it's tough to rationalize or think oneself out of those states, demonstrating the limits of **thinking alone** in managing emotions. - **Mind-Body Connection**: The autonomic system bridges the brain and body, allowing certain physical actions (e.g., **breathing patterns**) to adjust mental states. - **Role of Physical Actions in Emotional Shifts**: - **Physical Behaviors Impacting Autonomic Continuum**: Specific behaviors can shift us from stress to calm, which then allows different thoughts and actions. - **Stress & Perception of Time**: When stressed, it feels like it will never end, distorting **time perception**-a contrast to relaxed states where permanence isn't assumed. - **Intervening through the Body**: Using body-oriented methods can alter the autonomic state, making it easier to change thoughts and perceptions. - **Conclusion**: To manage stress effectively, one should focus on physical interventions rather than solely relying on the mind to change mental states.

Thanks for honoring freedom of speech. Maybe Jordan should face his anti-scientific fear-filled belief ... that a god exists that in turn could ... and just might ... punish him. “I act as if God exists, and I’m terrified he might.” ~ Jordan Peterson One cult is the same as another. The message is always ... "Join our group and (in the afterlife) your soul is bound to be saved and rewarded … by "GOD" with eternal bliss. But … if you refuse to join our group … your soul will suffer for eternity. Example ... from the book … The Arrogance of Faith … author … Forest G. Wood. When the “hermeneutical awakening”-the early nineteenth-century movement to unify Protestant denominations through independent interpretations of the Bible-led, not surprisingly, to still more fragmentation, it appeared that the United States was heading inexorably toward a society consisting almost entirely of independent splinter churches in ever city and town. By the early eighteenth century, the “plethora of new sects” in English North America had become “notoriously contemptuous of tradition and authority.” From the imperious Anglicans of Virginia and Carolinas to the unobtrusive Schwenkfelders of Pennsylvania, there seemed to be no end to the proliferation of Christian denominations, each claiming to be the true church.

Example ... from the book … Sigmund Says: And Other Psychotherapists’ Quotes by Bernard Nisenhotz and Lyle Nisenholz. “Demons do not exist any more than gods do, being only the products of the psychic activity of man.” Sigmund Freud. “Whether invoked or not, God will be present.” C. G Yung (Inscription above his front door) “I could not say I believe. I know! I have had the experience of being gripped by something that is stronger than myself, something that people call God.” C. He didn't believe in God until a couple years ago after he almost died and almost lost his wife to a rare incurable cancer in 2019-2020. And he didn't just believe, it took him a year or two of research into Christianity and the bible.

@@zeroturbulence1359 I don't know when Jordan's conversion took place ... but if he done a study of *history of religion ... he would understand that (a Jewish Rabbi *Rabboni ... Master teacher of Judaism) ... wouldn't have had anything in "common" with either a Catholic ... OR ... a Protestant religion ... as he would think of BOTH religions as being HERESY ... and his personal religion of Judaism ... as being TRUTH. All those stories of humans having souls that fly away to be rewarded or punished ... is nothing other than myths ... created by human EGOISM.
