For the last 7 years, I've been experiencing health anxiety about different diseases. Recently, I feel like I'm having trouble speaking, but no one around me, including my wife, notices anything different. I'm convinced I have bulbar ALS and have started showing symptoms. Seven months ago, I thought I had a brain tumor and got an MRI, which was normal. I keep searching online about Bulbar ALS and now genuinely feel I have it. I've had similar anxieties about other diseases over the years and have seen many doctors with normal reports. I'm 40 years old and from India. What should I do? Please help me.

I feel I have this same issue. I can't seem to articulate my words anymore like I used to. My tongue feels unnatural. What is yours like?

@@elzbauknecht It's hard to describe it bc, it's not a stutter. I can speak okay for one minute and the next my speech is all messed up...kinda like a stutter pause...like I said it's hard to describe and I feel it's something neurological between my brain and speech. I call it a speech impairment or speech hiccups. It seems like nervousness, stress and anxiety makes it worse. I've been trying to find out what it could be for a long time... nothing yet. I pray it goes away one day bc, it makes me less confident about myself. I use to speak very well smoothly and confidently. I do feel once I get control of everything that's going on with me and settle back down to normal physically, mentally and emotionally that it might go away. 🤷🙏✝️🛐

@@lisajones6839 I know exactly what you mean. You described it perfectly to what I am dealing with as well. I am feeling it's definitely anxiety related and pray regularly that I wake up on day and it's gone and life goes back to normal and it's not something I think about constantly anymore.

@@lisajones6839 exactly how i feel. Have you had any other symptoms with it? I have many but the speech and brain fog is what gets me down the most. I actually do hope it's anxiety as then i feel like i can at least maybe do something about it, but it's so hard to believe it's not something more. Especially when i don't even feel anxious sometimes and the symptoms persist

Hi, i want to give you an advice about this advice with all due respect i know that u have the best intentions but the mayority of kids with language development difficulties have a LOT of anxiety and they probably dont want to stay still and it is a bad advice to tell them that they have to meditate a certain way, meditation is about being present, about trying to be present, There is no wrong or right it is about trying to breath throug our thoughts kids also have so many thoughts the best way to help them is not just by telling them how they should breath is giving them the space to be who they are and learn trouh game that we can breath and it doesnt necesaraly has to be seated and with eyes closed. I mentioned it because if we force kids to do things a certain way they might still do it even if they don't want to, and might be masking theire truly self to do things "calmly".
