My parents are both of Libyans but I know for sure my grandmothers are not. One is from Chad and the other grandmother from Sudan. I got my ancestry result and was assigned Nilotic ancestry 28 % and 13 % eastern African and the rest is scattered all over African 5 % here and there, 9 % North African who is for sure my grandfather and 19 % Arabic peninsula from maternal grandmother! It is very interesting I inherited mostly from my grandmothers. I started learning about Nilotic people then. I am honored to be part of the Nilotic. It is funny my siblings are assigned North African!

The actual names of all this communities is Luo and not Jurchol, jurchol is disrepectful, the name acholi came from the luo migration from kar-tuom (Khartoum) where the arabs invaded their land and discriminated them cause they are black (chol) and they moved south and east wards, those that went south lead by Nyikang' formed the chollo(from the word black/chol) kingdom, from those that moved East among them was a man that moved to the west and got a Nuer girl pregnant who bore a son called Anuak, in the intrest of Anuak trying to find his lineage he moved north of chad where he married women of Madi/Mari people and this caused alot trouble to the madi men who were distressed of a foreinhn man who was "stealing" their woment this forced anuak and his descendant to move south where they moved amidst the Dinka and Nuer since they were foreigh to this lands they were reffered to as the "jurchol"... The intermarriage between Anuak and the Madi in a great extent influenced the luo accent. As the Anuak moved south and other clans intermarrying and assimilating part of Dinka, Nuer and other communities they formed new communities those that moved further east re-united with the other luos after almost 2 centuries and intermarried from there based on where the clans settled and their activity they took up the names for example the Alur, we had Jonagi(luos of Kenya), We had others that retained their clan Names like Padhola and Ajok etc...

FGM (done by an older female of the Sande society known as a digba), which this tribe still practices. Enough said.

That is a lie that the Acoli is a product of Luo and madi. How come we do not have madi language in Acoli? There are also Acoli in Sudan, are they also a product of Luo and Madi?
