Got a chance to do an exhibition run around the Derby track in Eagle River Wisconsin at the Lap of Champions event. No studs and it was dangerous . But I had to do it !

Re: Redline Revolt 800 Ditch Bangin' #2
How did you require this beautiful machine? I’ve only seen these at the Saint Germain snowmobile Museum
I've owned it for 13 years. Actually, I have a 2nd machine. It's a prototype. A "side-shocker ". Someday soon, I'll post vids of it. Its the machine you see in the famous poster that they handed out at the shows, back in the early 2000's....
What a beauty, was ready to order one before the crash, what a pity.
I purchased stock in the company. At the time, i owned a Polaris / Victory dealership. I was planning on becoming a Redline dealer...
Damn, that sounds good. Beautiful machine!
Good to hear it up and running again
Doesn’t run good
Out of the box, it does not. Remember, these are prototypes. It takes some "finishing" to smooth it out
Beautiful is a stretch
Gorgeous, is a better description
No saddle bags lol no grab bar? Looks like a half finished snowmobile does it have lights for trails at night ?
Um....its not a "normal guy" sled. Its an "extreme-machine". Only for WhammerJammers...!
I couldn’t see where I was going 😂
It does look cool, but sounded like he climbed in a tractor when he first climbed on it, metal clanking and all. Problem was by the time these came out the rev was coming out and completely changed the snowmobile industry as a whole with rider forward technology and by then the redline was old technology before it ever. Came out. Years of research and development and prototypes down the tubes.
Old technology it was not. Just not mirroring the populist-trend
I'd love to see a version with 174"x15"x3.0 track and a narrower ski stance with a 900cc+ turbo engine..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
They did have plans to build a mountain sled
@Whammer Jammer I've read that but back then a mtn sled had a 1e6"-144" track, that's not good enough for a real mtn sled..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸🤠
Pro tip...keep the doggie in the house when riding.😊
Yeah......there's been some close calls....
@@whammerjammer1562 mine always tried to bite the front tire of my dirt bike too....dogs be like that. Lol
If Ducati made a snowmobile!
I got to know the creator of the Redline Revolt. He LOVES motorcycles, and Ducatis. It's no accident that the two machines share styling cues....
@@whammerjammer1562 Thanks!
I dreamed of these sleds as a 9yo
Have you seen one in person...?
I have a wall clock (battery operated) with a picture of this sled on it. I think it was a gift way back when renewing a snowmobile magazine prescription.
Post a picture of it on HardcoreSledder.com. I started a thread there about 12 years ago titled, "Project Redline".
That's a cool gas tank
Damn Commodore camera has a steep learning curve
Damn son, you need to wait for more snow or keep it out of the dirt that rare ass collector's item...
In Illinois, you take what you can get
So ahead of it's time it was also priced ahead.
Yes, it seemed pricey at the time
It doesn't matter how cool it looks, what matters is how it performs and how reliable it is. I was hoping to see it in action and what's under the hood.
In the last 12 years that I've owned it, it's proven to be very reliable. More reliable than my brand-new 2009 Assault was! I actually sold the Assault after 3 years of ownership to focus on riding the Redline. Checkout my other vids to see what's under the hood....
Awesome machine
Love the fact you take it for a spin every once in a while.
Every winter it gets exercise!
annoying ahh dog
Wow....what a flood of memories. I used to work at a Suzuki dealership back then and I remember working on them. Very true they were way ahead of there time and what a shame the brand never took off. We even had a couple of Blade snowmobiles come through the shop. Anyways keep that piece of history alive and best wishes
I owned tons of f7s and this baby sounds just like it
What happened to this company?
Went belly-up in 2005 after releasing 59 machines
Seems to really have a hard time going
It was really warm. And, I was driving with one hand. Just a chill cruise
the tach and speedo not work?
They work. The one headlight had failed and it blew the fuse that also powers the gages. Replaced the headlight and fuse. Gages working fine
a little fine tuning and that thing is gonna rock!
Thanks for posting more content on the redline
I wanted one when they were being developed, I thought they were way ahead of the curve, still look hot compared to todays sleds.
Let’s see this beast in action
I'm in the process of building another pipe. A new vid will follow....
The exhaust flow is important but the return signal from the reverse cone of the expansion chamber has to be considered in your redesign of the Y

Wow! Very clear picture and the sound. What kind of camera did you use? And mic?
iPhone.....

Awesome looking machine
Like a pro
That MV is sweet! That Artic Cat looks pristine...what year / model is it?
The Arctic Cat is a 95. The MV is a 2000....
Best looking sleds are the skidoo zx platform
The zx platform is beautiful. Have a sweet spot for them, some of the best looking sleds ever made, I agree. But the redline looks better to me, I definitely agree with the guy in the video, it’s the most beautiful sled ever made, and that includes the newest sleds from all manufacturers.
FYI your expansion chamber is leaking bad
Yes it was. I built a new exhaust manifold and had to take the pipe out several times to weld up all the cracks. I'd fix the obvious ones, reinstall the pipe, only to discover more cracks. I finally got them all fixed. Rode the sled multiple times for a total of 3 hours. The pipe hasn't cracked yet. I may be on to something...
Just got a woody, almost bought one of those out of d&d in Michigan, it was up for 10 000 then I decided to just keep to a sled with a good engine and great power. So I decided to bond with bondi engines now I got sexy engine plates and custom triple triple jaws pipes to stick in my 03 REV 809 swap. You got a weird coupling system apparently it looks like a Kawasaki water coupling system to the belt
Damn is that such a sexy sled. That’s one of a kind engine is designed more like a marine 2 stroke. There is no power valves and the pistons are unique like a watercraft, you might need a crazy pipe builder like jaws or crank shop who build crazy swaps and are used to no room but sexy curves. Swap another engine in her. I’m an engine guy and that’s just some piss poor company realizing they don’t know how to build engines. FYI ROV redline used to be the site to go to, allot of the 50 vin sleds had cracked the terrible designed expansion chamber. They it seams like some people modified an F7 expansion to fit
I tried the F7 pipe. It didn't run well AND it cracked also!
@@whammerjammer1562 Jaws all the way, I’m totally satisfied with the set of triple pipes I got that fit where a single used to be. That twist is almost like a dirt bike and the expansion chamber is pretty much science. But your engine on another note never was built by a engine company with real 2 stroke building background. At least in the early 2000 when the scorpion tkx came out it came with my favourite engine manufacturer PSI. And your redline would love a proper built psi engine. It’s almost note worthy that that engine is more of a show peice cause anybody can just slap a simple 2 stroke together, no technology but it won’t run right. I would be scared of scuffing the pistons or trying to source a starter cause there is no pull start on that engine, save the engine for its authenticity
I've been running/riding it for nearly 10 years. It runs pretty good and is a blast to ride.... I've talked to the guy that built/designed the cylinders. He says they're good/solid. His company is still in business today.
Jaws is gonna build a pipe for my friends Redline. He's in New York and is willing to take his sled to them for a proper fitment. I'll then purchase pipes for my two Redlines. Until then, I'm gonna figure out why the stock pipe cracks. Why, because it's fun to discover things...LOL
@@whammerjammer1562 that company in 1999 was so promising, was looking forward to purchasing the triple model, they even had a sound clip of what v twin 4 stroke on the website. Then 2003 came around and I bought the 03 rev cause I couldn’t wait any longer and never looked back but missed the power of a mach z or cc’d. Couldn’t believe my eyes when I seen the first redline in 2005. Jaws should be able to build quality pipe, my custom rev triple pipes look better than factory pipes. I was even more blown away when the the redline rov site went down. I though there was enough of them out there for the site to keep going
I have never even heard of one of these
They hit the scene in 1999. Only as a show-sled. Then, running prototypes showed up at Yellowstone for the "new model preview" press junkets. They even won an award from Popular Science magazine. Still coveted to this day ....!
One of the ugliest you mean lol.Cool conversation piece though
Yep that’s a snowmobile!!!!!!!
It’s incredibly unique to ride. That tube frame gives a solid feeling. And having 12 inches of travel up front & 15 inches in the rear helps it float over bumps
@@whammerjammer1562 that’s nuts. Always been a fan of them, but never knew exactly how much suspension travel they had
So the gauges don't change?? What a POS "sled"....Camera shows no scenery, wtf did you post this CRAP??
finally a new video on these things
Hey thanks for continuing to post content on this sled. As a long time fan of these redlines, I appreciate being able to watch more content on them as I’ve never personally seen one in person or up for sale before.
It is indeed the most beautiful snowmobile ever crafted. In some ways, it looks more modern than even the newest sleds from ski doo and polaris. Just flat out sexy. I remember them being referred to as the “Ferrari” of snowmobiles at the time.
Should flow better now..
They set up the y pipe like that to create a scavenging effect
There's no scavenging going on with the stock Y-pipe. Maybe the vids dont really show the reality of whats there...?
Got to get out and do a couple riding clips ..... love to see it doing what it does best
A tip: watch movies on Kaldrostream. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Bradley Yael Yup, have been watching on KaldroStream for years myself :D
@Bradley Yael Yup, been watching on KaldroStream for years myself :D
What was the issue with the original one?
I feel the original design hurt performance by allowing reversion , thereby disallowing a negative pressure zone to be created within the exhaust manifold itself. That negative is needed to help not only draw-out the exhaust, but also, pulls in the fresh air-fuel mixture. And, I’m trying to eliminate the cracking of the pipe by changing the harmonics within in the system.
@@shawnpaku391 Nice work Shawn!
How’s it run now?
Really good!
