We buy a 36 ft Motor Yacht and learn to live aboard , today is our first adventure solo. Just a quick trip up the Broadwater on the Gold Coast as there is a small break in the weather . We have had storms and strong winds due to the Cyclones up North.

    Awesome rig ... How big was the size tray and who made it ? Did find it too big ,too small would you have changed anything?

      @@Aussiepete86 hi I think the tray was 2.6 long made by conweld in Bundaberg and the canopy was a standard size from MRT . We put a lot of thought into the build and it served us well, we have since sold the truck but it is up for sale again.

    You keep cooking food like that, and the station hands will chain you to the stove. A good station cook is worth gold.

      Hi guys , and thanks for leaving a comment. I love cooking and always wanted to cook on a station, time management is key to being a great station cook. As for experience I had done some cooking in a child care centre , which helps with quantities u had to cook . . There is a few face book groups for … station cooking jobs , they offer lots of tips to get started . 👍if you’re interested give it a go and good luck . They don’t want fancy food just meat n 5 veg and on the table on time 🍺👍

    Hay how great is Fletchers Creek camp ground sadly when we go there is always dirty with toilet paper... so we go across too the National Park a lot of chital deer and pigs around the area i throught the opera house traps were illegal.. we use luncheon meat in our traps works amazing good on you for having a go

      Hi sorry for not responding sooner. It is a great adventure meeting awesome people and there appreciation every time you prepare a meal .. the money can differ d from each station as some pay a daily rate depending on experience and work load $180 -$250 there are a few face book pages , Rural and remote cooks or remote contract cooks both these advertise jobs as well as help for new cooks. Have fun in your adventures 👍🍺

    Looks like you had fun on the bikes. We were out there in 2019 just before they closed climbing of the rock itself. The climb was a very grounding experience, well worth the effort. The base walk is also impressive.
