When I was a teen I hit a telephone pole with my dad’s truck, broke clips, dented front fender, and everything. Some boys jumped on it with rubber mallets, zip ties, and any other home remedy you can think of. Called dad and told him, he was pissed. When he seen it, he wasn’t as mad because we made it look 100 times better than when it happened. He just drove it like it was and a couple years later he seen the zip ties and was pissed. Not at me but a year before that he’d hit a deer and took it to someone to fix it and thought they’d done it. It was 24 years ago and I never told him.

I added strength to the existing frame inside the Mercedes unibody, drove it for six years, sold it to a guy that drove it across the US to Wisconsin. no problems, and pulled a boat to the lake on several occasions. I have a lot of build pictures if interested. John
