Thanks, good lesson but pretty sure the pentatonic lick at the start is played using position 2 further down the neck. Obviously a more difficult lick for beginners

Mate, honestly I was ready for giving up, I've been learning (or trying to) for about 2 years and my strumming just wouldn't work, I'd tried about 250 different pick sizes and thicknesses watching all sorts of videos on strumming mechanics, hand movement, attack angle, pick holding angle and nothing worked it just sounded and felt horrible, I didnt even consider how I was holding the guitar in relation to my body, feels like now I can use nearly every pick I have even the 1.0+ ones and still sound/feel ok, just holding the body more towards the side and keeping it at a straight 180° to my body has worked, I actually feel like I want to play now not just getting frustrated because im digging the high strings and sounding awful, you're a legend!

It's funny to look back, I remember - not too long ago - when I never thought I could get the C chord! It totally makes sense to think of it as 'wearing' the guitar
