Portsmouth & District Angling Society was founded in 1948 and is now one of the leading angling Clubs in the South. We boast 16 different venues which all offer a variety of different fishing to suit all anglers.
The Club ensures that all aspects of angling interests are catered for, ranging from mixed fisheries to specimen waters. All of the Club’s waters boast a 5-year plan which ensures that they continue to improve and are stocked to the right level to provide the maximum sport, but still being within the capability of the pond. The plans also provide a focus for the Fishery Team to ensure that the aims of each fishery are reached, and great sport is achieved for its members to enjoy. Day tickets are available for non members to sample a small selection of our waters.

Catch O Final 2024
Catch O Mania 2024
Pete (Match Sec) introduced a new series of matches this year, 6 qualifiers where the best two weights qualified to fish the 6 hour final on CRF lake 4.
On the day of the final the conditions looked really promising for good weights but it was a slow start for most with only a few fish being caught. Half way through it was still very close, but by the end of the match it was very close between Dean on peg 1 and Tim on peg 8 (opposite ends of the lake). One last fish in the last 15 mins sealed the win for Tim.
Congrats to Tim to become the PDAS Catch O Mania champion 2024 picking up the trophy and winners cheque. The remaining money going to this years charities.

Todber Manor - Away Pleasure Match - 1st Sep 2024

@pdas had an away day pleasure match at the famous Todber Manor in Dorset. Todber Manor Fisheries is set in 125 acres of Dorset countryside and is home to some of the finest carp and coarse fishing in the South West. With a well stocked tackle shop, Pole alley and a superb cafe we set off early morning to catch some big weights! Well done to all the anglers - See you next year Todber!

PDAS CRF Lake 4 - Peg 11 The purpose of this video was to test film in crf lake 4 in the shallow margin. Pete had baited up an area with groundbait, micros and corn before I arrived and there was clearly plenty of feeding looking at the surface swirls. Having closed CRF 3 to fishout as many tench, bream and silvers as we could battling through the constant heavy rain and major tow finally the clouds blew over. After seeing a lot of bubbles Pete hooks into a lump which after a decent and tense battle finally he managed to land it. "Scar" and old common of 21lb 8oz on match fishing gear of 4lb line and No 8 elastic. New PB for Pete to top thing...

Final match of the Abshot series. First frost of Autumn so the air temperature and gentle breeze made it feel cool, but the water was still approx 15'C.
