Still can't believe how badly that idiot Tzachor botched this series
The american adaptations are vastly underwhelming in story telling. I especially enjoy some of the moments where they both are fighting dirty. Makes sense given how they were written. -Key takeaway 1: Juzo and Takeru are both looking for a purpose in this fight. For Takeru, its a literal two sided battle; one vs Juzo and the other with himself. Juzo wants his glorious duel, and comes seeking it when Takeru is paying respects. He doesn't care that Shinken Red is hurt, or conflicted. He cares only for his need to fight. Juzo also takes aim at Takeru's morals. All things are an "illusion". That the feel of battle is the only "Truth". And he hits at these points consistently, along with any injury or limb Takeru leaves exposed for too long. Meanwhile, in the end Juzo sees an illusion of his wife, and comes to the realization that he has met his end. -Key takeaway 2: The sword has its own sentience (Probably not as surprising to those who watched Shinkenger as it would be to Power Rangers fans watching it after the fact). But Juzo is seen offering his thoughts to Uramasa. Although the blade doesn't speak, it does seem to offer a response. That response may be emotional, or something that only Juzo understands. But the closest I can offer as a comparison for american viewers is that he is akin to a DnD Warlock, with fighting being a form of worship. But to make the proper argument, the blade is both offering of the patron AND its the patron. You can see this playout in the final moments of Juzo, when the blade refuses to yield to his command (As he was defeated AND disarmed). We cannot say that the blade seems Immovable, despite Juzo being relatively uninjured (the attack of Takeru seems delayed by some force). I can only assume that the sword is responsible for this action.
Bamba and Towa are the most favorites in this season, way more than Koh 😂😂 and it's pretty fun coincidence coz Bamba likes to say words like Takeru Shiba Shinken Red after fight 😂 (my most favorite sentai ever)
IMHO, I don’t like Bamba at all. He’s probably one of my least black rangers in Sentai. The dude doesn’t even smile or show any personality other than being the straight man or acting all emo, cold and stoic. Now I’m not saying he should start acting eccentric, loud, and energetic, but at the very least Bamba should just smile and show some optimism and chill every once in a while, not something boring or soulless. Heck, he just acts like a robot than a human.

I am not a fan of the sound affects they feel overdone and it's off putting to me! Though I like that there is a Super Yellow intro we did get Super Yellow in the Saban version but we never got her super intro which is a shame And I kind of don't like how in this version Blue used the super suit to defeat Rino I personally like that he was defeated by regular Blue in the saban version! I think they should have had an arc where they kept winning with the super but with Sarrator and Xandered they have a hard time and then before the final episode the rangers find out that they never needed the super suit to win, They were always able to beat Xandered all along they just needed to believe in themsleves And I know they have different names in the sentai version but I'm use to calling them by they're Saban names and I never knew the sentai version existed until almost 2 months ago
Did they ever explain why Juzo fights with the blade in reverse?
I only saw a few episodes, but as far as I know, it's the sharp side. I'm pretty sure that's what he said the first time he fought them.
His blade is a reverse edge sword. So blunt ad the edge, sharp at the back.
I always wondered, what is the reason for him using reverse grip/back of his blade that always confused me and I would love to know why
I think because the blade when he reverses it has a sharper part of the sword which explains why he uses his sword backwards
I personally prefer the American version but I respect this version though something about the Sentai version that throws me off is the sound effects the sound affects are overdone and it's off putting to me Respect to the Sentai but I will always prefer the American version
The sound effect point to me is weird because both use roughly the same amount of sound effects from what I can tell, they’re just different sound effects.
I never understand why anyone prefers that pale imitation fake clipshow over the original. This season, especially. Westerners as samurai? Nope. It isn't accurate to Japanese culture and history. If a foreigner claimed to be a samurai, a true samurai would cut him down for disrespectful the word. Samurai is a status. Only people born into samurai family can be samurai. The American version doesn't respect Japanese culture at all. You PR fans are just blind by nostalgia and so stubborn to see what is authentic and superior.

My favorite thing about this fight is 7:10 , the moment Takeru starts to give in to the pleasure of battle, he just curb stomps Juzo, fatally even, he just doesn't know it yet.

Well based on Super Blue it seems like in the sentai version Rinosour was defeated by Super Blue while in the amercian version he defeats Rinosour without super which I like that better personally

You were half-right about that. Goseiger vs. Shinkenger was when he was corrupted by Gedoshuu; it took GoseiRed’s Kaentornado Card to free him.
Juzo and Nakadai Mikoto are possibly my favorite villains in sentai so far.

Deker was just random no one that died. Juzo on the other hand is a fallen Samurai that began killing people because he was dying from disease. He even killed his wife that tried to stop him, hence corrupted. He was given a sword Uramasa, and using it even though he knew that the sword is actually made with his wife’s soul. He is obsessed with the idea that everything is an illusion and only thing it matter is fight. That’s the only truth that he believed until the end when he noticed that he had wife that trying to stop him.
@@gaeru0006 good to know, was just correcting a mistake between the two characters since Deker was the one looking for a better afterlife while Juzo was bloodthirsty lunatic who desired nothing more but battle and just so you know - and i'm not trying to start an argument - Deker isn't a "random no one that died", he was a samurai who was married to a lovely woman but Serrator came in and *f u c k e d e v e r y t h i n g u p*, Deker's wife Dayu made a deal with the Nighlok in exchange for Dayu's soul Deker could be alive with her, but being the manipulative bastard he is he flips the deal and says that Dayu just sold her soul to the underworld and her husband will be revived like she wished but not in the way she wanted now revived as a half Nighlok he is cursed to roam amongst the living as a literal half-undead seeking a proper battle from one he considers an equal. and Jayden's the right target but everyone has an opinion, just as long as we don't enforce our opinions on others then we gucci

@@shanthegamer21 I'm not saying the sentai version is bad but the sound affects are very off putting they're overdone and it makes it sound alot more like a cartoon than an actual live action show And one of the biggest things Saban's version did to improve the Sentai So in the Sentai Xandered's first life was defeated by Blue Ranger's flaming strike In the Saban version Xandered is defeated by Showgun Red Ranger and on top of that the music also kicks in the moment he enters showgun and defeats Xandered's first life!

Whoa. Shinkenger was my first sentai i ever saw all the way through. Back then I simply thought the sword had just finnaly decided to take charge and destroy Juzo. But seeing it again years later I realize it’s way more meaningful. The sword, his wife’s soul, taking Juzo back to where he belongs, never to leave his side (or she was finnaly freed?) and that’s when Takeru says “that’s also part of your truth”. As in Juzo sought out only for this. To draw blood with his blade, and that’s his own prison he made for himself. No one to free him(unlike Takeru’s friends) or keep him company. Hence the sword fades away AFTER Juzo is destroyed. In the day time, signifying her souls finally free and Juzo is where he belongs. Not in the Sanzu river like the in betweens, but in hell. Wow 🤯😳
