Hi Ron, I’ll be travelling to Lisbon with my family for 4 days in October. Because the first day and the last day will not be a full day, does it make to purchase a Lisbon card x 2 days (for D2 and D3), and a Navegante card with top up x 24hr x2 to cover the arrival and departure and local transport on D1, D4?

Just returned from this hotel, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Airport: you don't go up any stairs or escalator to get out to the Metro. Out from Customs, turn right, down the ramp and the Metro station entrance is in front of you. Where you then go DOWN the escalator. Ticketing: you missed ZAPPING completely. This uses a Navegante card in pay-as-you-go mode, which would have been useful for the Cacilhas ferry and the 3001 bus up to Cristo Rei. Day tickets don't work outside Zone L. 728 bus has no advantage over the 15 tram and is no good for the LX Factory, Museu da Carris, or if you want to alight at Largo da Princesa to do the Belém waterside from the west end. Yes, the Carris website has some very generous timings for the tram, but in reality the latter is the better bet. Period. The Elevador you showed to get up to the Cathedral - last time I passed that way, 3 weeks or so ago, it was boarded up. Broken lifts and escalators are commonplace, ESPECIALLY on the Metro. Funiculars: if folk don't use the Glória, what alternative do you suggest for getting up to the Bairro Alto, which is what many of them use it for? Also, you are generalising from one example: the Lavra, for instance, does not generally get busy, and is useful for the Jardim do Torel and the climbing bit of getting to Campo Mártires Pátria. The Bica uses split level cars and doesn't get so intimate, although there is usually a queue to go up. Trams: this is what many visitors have on their to-do list, and not all routes are as busy as the 28. Try the 25 as an alternative way to get up to Estrela and Prazeres, or go up to Campolide on a 24. Or an 18 from C.Sodré to Ajuda. Português does not usually pronounce the E at the end of a word. So, for instance, it's Orient, not Orient-AY.

Die Zimmer sind leider schmutzig, Bettwäsche ist eine Katastrophe, sehr unangenehm auf der zu schlafen, auch nach Wechsel schmutzig. Mein Zimmer wurde im Bettbereich permanent nach Schweiss gestunken. Die Deko-Bettkissen und Wohndecke waren auch nicht frisch. Reinigungskraft ist generell unfreundlich. Ich empfehle diese Hotel NICHT! Sauberkeit in diesem Hotel ist leider nicht der Hauptpunkt, sehr schade.

also i left the golden torus yesterday, i will definitely come back again! that is definitely the best resort ive stayed at in my life.

i went to cheddar gorge about a month back, i highly recommend it, absolutely stunning caves and amazing cheddar cheese, the cafes there are nice aswell. also i like this style of editing, and the music.

I went for seven days, and let me tell you guys this might just be the best hotel i've ever stayed at, the rooms are realy posh, the staff are realy kind, the water park is realy fun i definitely recommend it, the food they serve is absolutely delicious, they even have vending machines you can go down to in the night if you are fancying a snack, they have got a popcorn machine, the entertainment is realy good aswell, they normally have 3 shows you can pick to go too, and you can choose what one looks appealing to you, there are lots of options, the reception desk people are realy kind, the lifeguards are really kind, I will definitely go back to this hotel again, i went to the indoor swimming pool, the main pool and quiet pool are entirely fresh water and chlorine, while the indoor swimming pool is salt water (witch is good if you like salt water pools because then it gives you a variety) and the indoor swimming pool's bubble pool / jacuzzi is fresh water and chlorine. Thats about it enjoy yourself!
