Long story short; there was a channel that uploaded these videos but they kept in copyrighted material, so when the new UA-cam terms came out, I assume they were struck down. and or deleted from the original channel. I credit the original channel in every Toonami vid, but I don't know if they even exist/care.

@@SauSAliens i can solve this mystery: pre-delete i used to have these videos running in the background for white noise all the time so i watched it happen when it happened and i'm 99.999% certain the old channel got hacked then taken down because of it. i assume whoever originally owned the account either doesn't know, doesn't care, or lost access somehow. i know you can't just snap your fingers and make it happen but man i'm really fiending for that 4.0 video, btw. wish i had the skills to retrieve it myself

@whipstitchzombie I hear you. These vids got me through a tough time when my ma had a health scare, and she was rushed to the ER a year ago. She ended up staying there for 5 days (she's good now). If I can, I'll make a 4.0 collection. That one in particular was my fav as well.

@dragondaveltd1992 Sadly, I was unable to recover the Tom 5.0 collection from the wayback machine. I know there's another UA-cam channel that has damn near every Tom collection in HD.

@@whipstitchzombie There's a website called 'toonami rewind' with a list of a whole bunch of creators who preserve/modernize the toonami/cartoon network promos, bumps, and commercials. As well as these three users @DuelistG @JazzMasterSamurai and @SlimD716 on UA-cam.

@Ty13rLreturns There is, but the way back machine never saved them. You can't even watch them. Unless someone saved those videos, they are gone. These were the only ones I was able to recover.

@@SauSAliens Okay. At least I can watch those promos separately. As long as I know I can look them up, that's all that matters.

@@CameronCochran-e3y I ended up finding a site called 'toonami rewind" as well as another youtube channel that has almost all the toonami bumps and promos w/o commercials in HD. I think that channel is also listed on toonami rewind as well. As for Tom 5, you'll have to look somewhere else. The channel I sourced these tom videos from is either long gone or chose to private the videos long ago, making it hard for me to grab them from the way back machine.

It's a shame. When I try to brute force download the video from the way back machine, it will either A. Time out mid download or B. The video wont be archived at all even though there are multiple instances of it being archived. Either way, any help getting those vids to complete the collection would be much appreciated.

If I had to guess, the copy right system fucked over the OG channel that had these. Back then there wasn't AI that was able to edit out copyrighted material. That or the user just was too lazy and didn't bother to edit out copyrighted material that studio over at Toonami doesn't want people viewing w/o paying. I.E. the Steven Universe movie commercial that I had to edit out of the latest Toonami Tom collection I just uploaded today.

Copy right removed the og channel that had the Tom collections. This was before there was an Ai copyright remover for UA-cam channels. Now that you mention it, I should credit the og channel. He had all the Tom collections up until the present day at the time (2022).
